SubscribeWell Saturday is done. Not to say I didn’t have some fun, and finally get to unwind a bit, but the evening finished up with a server going down for an extended period, and working with the upstream to find the issue, which in the end was a high-level core firewall accidentally had started blocking my IP for no reason that was on file. So internal network wise, I could see it from the other servers and vice versa, however the outside world could not see it.
So 6 hours was the final count (more or less, 5.8 hours) which is not good, so the upstream is putting in some safeguards to prevent this from happening again, at the very least the two of us are notified of a block – it could of been something silly like a rouge script, or a client needs to update a script, but if we know what’s causing the issue, I can suspend a site till things are fixed up.
But my Saturday had some fun, I had hoped to have a dinner with some friends who missed my birthday shin-dig, but no one called – my sister invited me to the movies went and saw Freedom Writers – twas a good flick – just wish my entire day was as fun as watching a movie 
I need to unwind and fall-asleep, part of me wants to watch the server a bit more, but I’m gonna hand it over to God … and take a nap. Prayers appreciated, hopefully life calms down soon, or I get a little more umph.
