Why?

I mean I know it’s 4:30am… I already went grocery shopping at 3am… but to come and wind down all thats on TV is infomercials of which out of 10, 4 are Girls Gone Wild commercials lol.

Gotta love late night tv.

What a morning - servers under attack, load soaring as high as 135+ on one server, yet it bounced back, had a minor burp with MySQL’s pid - but all in all after several intense hours, things balanced out - life once again returned to normal.

Good news though, working with the upstream to swap out a server I have had in place for 3 years, it’s older, needs a total re-birth, and it will soon get it, getting a game plan all together to get it moving forward - so it should all be good in a few weeks.

On the work front as well, my brother got called to SC - he’ll be back Sunday - so probably Monday the office will be a go. Crazy times, but such is life! Back to H&F coding, got a lot done on it thus far, but still some minor tweaks to do, hope to have it finished up Tomorrow.

its not what you think…

I am not “still awake” at 3am, I actually crashed EARLY 10pm?! Only to wake up at 2am - which was good timing as the monday night moonlight madness was on at the Geeks - was able to get myself a new Netgear Router for home (wireless), Wireless External Antenna (increases wireless range) and a Keyboard for the linux machine for $54 out the door. A awesome deal since the router will be for one of two places, here or the office - if it works good here, then the current D-Link will goto the office.

Sorted a lot of things out in my head last night, oi that was one major journal entry last night, one thing of which I am trying to get back into - journaling again as I love blogging, but to me it’s two different styles of thought/writing. But needless to say it helped me lay some things out that had been jumbled up in my brain, and its a lot clearer now as to direction.

So tonight/this moring, I finish two things I have on the table:

1) Chapina’s Site for first round testing via the CMS! (yay!) - The site is actually all cut up right now and I have it starting to space out in the HTML end.

2) Finish the first round of the H&F - was going to work on it earlier in the evening, but office furniture hunting went longer than expected and got caught up talking to yet another person who wanted to come work at the office with me - tis crazy!

I think that’s one of the more awesome things that have happened lately to me is the excitement people have about me getting a office again, I have people who have donated their time to come and help setup stuff, do electrical if needed, help do the wiring of the network, do server setup’s we me etc. and friends who want to come down and work/hangout after work, etc. Should be pretty cool, just further firms it up in my head. We go today or wednesday to get things rolling. Pretty crazy good!

Anywhoo - back to work, can not keep theDonna waiting.

What to write… what to write…

So its coming up on 1am … billing had a brain fart, but its not a major thing, billing appears to be going still & things are at least viewable - Thankfully if things do appear to be funky as more humans get onboard to test it out, I do have all transaction records to keep track of who paid what during the time - while it does mean entering things by hand, its at least a lot easier than loosing it all!

I have been fried lately - to say the least lol - between taxes, jobs pending, injury, and a lot on my mind about personal life (trying to figure out how to have one) just been getting borderline burnt out, I think this is leading to no more projects for a while… maybe a month of, while not great for the budget, I much prefer my sanity. Don’t get me wrong, its awesome times around here, minus some minor personal issues, but all things considered its all good - just busy, and I found myself this weekend sleeping, sleeping, and soon sleeping again.

4 months of going non-stop for the most part, and a time change, oi. Catches up with you I guess.

So I think I am going to curl up on the bed, maybe flip on some tv/dvd/movie for some background noise, and crash out - I still need to find a home church sooner or later, my parents want me to join them, but I dunno, mega churches can be cool, but I dunno, still praying on it, but no real direction, no real direction on a lot of things in my life lately, just wondering what the ol Guy upstairs has planned… if he tells any of you, do let me know

What a week!

So its friday… for some the “I can’t go to sleep till I get this envelope postmarked” type of friday (God bless taxes… no … really) - I am just happy things are amping down - have a project I plan to finish this weekend aka the HandF project - but also looking for a little down time hangin out with the Dan-a-nator and the nephews - but then it leads right back into the lovely busy busy week - lots to do, meetings, phone calls, etc. So tons of fun to come

But for now I am going to go to the so far funny Incredibles More of a detailed later im sure … for now .. movie time here I come.

Well taxes are done, parted with $272 to the ol federal government - however in my excitement to send off my taxes I forgot to include copies of my 1099-MISC however - according to help docs all over the web they will simply request it, but honestly, I kind of doubt it, I am a small fish to them still, now next year - thats a whole different story, out of the 5 year business mark, oi.

But that leaves me here - I slept off most of the day, then here I am - awake at 4am yet again - lot on my mind, lot to do, and some pain still in my knee from however the heck I injured it - but its getting better, and I am getting myself slowly back on track (aka I am going to sleep after this) - diet back on track, not that I have eated poorly, just haven’t eaten.

Anywhoo.. the plan for tommorow, er today, is to work on a few projects I have to wrap up ASAP - but its all good, I think on each I can wrap them up quickly and efficently as I have been working on them off and on for a while now, just need to put on finishing touches.

If your a praying person, do keep me lifted up - after high-stress of taxes, compounded with some issues with a reseller - been a tense couple of days around here for me, throw in the moving foward with the office, oi.

Its all good though, just hafta get some rest, and hopefully get to the gym tonight and get some time in there as I haven’t been there since last Wednesday.
