While I had hoped to do more work towards code, wrap some things up, work towards working on projects for me some more, I spent a good part of the day getting things setup and running for the office - the old router I had was dropping packets (aka bad internet connection) - but with the new DI-524 it’s running a little smoother - still some issues it seems with the provider, but were gonna give them the weekend to work it out.
But all in all - a busy, good, crazy, fun week. Got to hang out with some friends offline, and chat with a few for the first time in a long time in the online world. A fun time, chatting with a friend now - nice to catch up and talk about random things just to unwind some.
One slice of pizza left, may grab it… time will tell 
Well I just got the call from my bro - internet to be installed on Thursday - they said “Internet” so we are hoping and praying that means its up and running! So awesome if it’s 100% - I’ll be working my first full day ‘from the office’ on Friday!
So cool! - but as for me, must finish up this code - HaF donation form is nearly done, just having to tweak some things a little due to some changes the merchant made over the weekend - but other than that - its all good!
Projects, Projects, Projects - I got a lot of code done yesterday - made some roundabout fixes to some code form to make it work a tad more friendly to the end user - just hope to finish it up this weekend so it’ll be live. Just been one of those months thus far - everything going down at once, just need me a nap, and to get back to the gym (as I have been too busy to go!) - but I think since my sleep schedule leveled out, I figure I’ll go in the mornings before work.
But all is well here, busy busy - but things are coming together nicely. The office should be up and running this next week, which will be nice and help focus things a bit more - but this weekend (well mainly today) is a code-a-thon, been up since 7 working on it all ready, so far so good - just already want a nap
The New Desktop for the Office 
I took the plunge, walking around CompUSA and praying, and trying to avoid sales people, I finally decided on this laptop, heck in the last few hours of using it, I am seriously considering getting rid of my two desktops here, and simply using it and the iBook! It is awesome and then some, just have to get the rebates in the mail tommorow ($200 worth of rebates) - but all in all, great deal, great feature set, I am loving it, still getting it all loaded up (Just put on Office Standard & Frontpage) getting my coding tools like EditPlus and such all lined up, need to do FTP as well, just so much to put on it, now I just need internet at the office.
All in all, a good day, even if I did get stuck in traffic and got kinda run-down running all over town, but I am alive, and kicking. Meeting tommorow at 2 with a client, quick drop off most likely, but I need to find my notes from my previous meeting with him, so I can get him in the billing system - and get his site up and running. So much to do, so little time, everyone wants a piece of me, just waiting on the install for the office internet, once that’s in place, so much easier!
I think I am getting a PC laptop - going to CompUSA tommorow to check it out, but in the mean time since I am using the iBook a lot lately, I noticed it was getting a tad sluggish - so I went ahead and went from “Upgraded to Tiger” to installing it from scratch - backing up my files (as well as you can on a Mac, godbless tgz!) but it is backed up - and slowly putting back only what I use on it, already installed iLife & iWork 05 - bu the PC laptop will be nice, and keep me from having to lug a desktop to and from various events and give me a nice PC workstation with all my major tools.

So a day back after the journey yesterday - still alive After lunch going to go get some extra supplies for the office & various things we need to wrap up the office so it’s useable, as I have meetings already scheduled on Thursday (thats going to be a long one!) but today I have code in the evening, but this morning/afternoon I am focusing on FH/TN some to get them back up to par, as sales haven’t slumped but they aren’t pushing forward.
On the docket for TN is finishing it It has a 5 yr old website design, while pretty - I have a half done re-vamp and have to intergrate a new billing system - as the old order forms are laughable at best But for both, as I am entering year 4 for FH, and 5 for TN - need to make some good promotions, fresh touch-ups to the sites, etc. But the ol brain has only come up with a few ideas:
Add-On Domains - For friends and fam this is already in use, the ability to use your space to host several different websites, but I am hashing out pricing so people can add-it themselves and get more bang for their buck.
Referal System - This one’s a logistics nightmare, as while I am more than happy to reward someone for word of mouth, the catch comes in those who abuse the system, get a friend to sign-up for a month, and cancel, just so they can get a month or two of service - plus a way to actually track/reward people is needed, and no one has one, so means code time.
New Support System - Old system is clunky, dying, and confusing to end users. So I am looking at options, costs, considered a message board - but thats not so private, and if a customer is frustrated, what normally could happen privately on a ticket and I could work to calm the person down and explain what was up - is suddenly very public.
I am trying to think up new promtion ideas, especially for FH as it’s coming up on its 4 yr anniv. I think this month if memory serves, so planning something up, something to have 4’s in it But lots to work on this week, budget to make sure survives the month of a new office!
Well back to it, if anyone has any crazy good ideas for hosting promotions, please speak up!
Not that I am trying to make a habbit of this whole “relaxing” thing But today was nuts, late start, travel plan changes, traffic, truck’s time set an hour off lol - but all in all it wasnt too shabby. Got a awesome Xerox Copier out of it - and a nice office chair as well as a TON office supplies and a few computer gadgets here and there - but still need to get me a desk.
As I noted, I wanted to take photos on the trip, so I did - awesome weather today, great views as it has been raining alot - some AWESOME landscape shots (if I do say so myself)
