No Sleep, Can’t Focus, In Pain

I think my wisdom teeth are making themselves known, thus I am still awake at 4am - maybe Gym @ 4:30? Just can’t seem to get a grip on this week, few things have gone right, others have gone horribly wrong - gotta love life :)

In my endless wanderings tonight I saw that freeiPods.com is now offering the new ‘Color iPod’ that is the 20GB standard, that would be nice to have - carry photos with me, music, and it snags album covers to go with the display - plus the new Podcast support is kinda nice (not that my iPod doesnt support that now with Firmware upgrade) but I kinda wanted color to begin with, maybe eBay the iPod and the iBook (yes sell the ibook) - I really want to get a Apple Desktop - a nice G5 iMac is what I am thinking, but budget as with everything, will probably hold that up for a while - plus I need to figure out what I am doing Phone/PDA wise first.

All my work is so behind - been trying to focus on 30 things at once, and now more than ever I need a clone lol. Didn’t even get to go see my movie yet :( I hope I get there before they stop showing it, so maybe tonight or Friday sneak out for the afternoon showing and with my luck fall asleep during the show.

A lot of things to straighten out too - thoughts to sort out, and I really need to go on a mini-vacation sooner or later, not that I don’t love my family, my job, or friends, just might be starting to crack up a little (not that I wasnt crazy to begin with) but 5 years of this, and 2 days this week of SSH BF attacks, odd packet storms, etc. I just wanna step away, somewhere cool, calm, relaxing - if only I knew of such a place ;)

Anywhoo, back to staring at the wall, maybe goto  breakfast or something… who knows.

Part of Tomorrow

Tommorow I will be taking this path [Google Maps] to see HHGTTG [Cheap Theatre] - for $1.00 for me AND my bro to go see it (we both were too busy to see it while it was out the first time round) - but this time, we pay a buck, splurge on popcorn, dogs, drinks, you name it.

This also marks the first time to the movies in nearly [counts in head] 5 years? Not much of a movie goer, but I am getting wilder in my old age… maybe it’s insanity setting in.. or maybe it’s the smoke from fireworks coming in from the cooler… either way - should be fun.

Ooooo…. Aaahhhhh…..

Well once a year we all get a chance to blow ourselves to high-heaven - this year a few of my neighbors nearly did that - few jerks came driving through and didn’t care what they interrupted, drove over, or people in the way - wasnt pretty, and there are some new swear words in spanish I think I picked up.

I am currently uploading 157 shots to Flickr - some good, some bad, some in-between, just couldnt find a happy medium, but I REALLY need my zoom lens and some filters to get some of the stray light/reflections out of things.

Anywhoo - Happy 4th everyone - More updates this week I imagine… but then again we me lately, ya just never know.

What a week!

Just got done upgrading to the latest Wordpress -  in the process, I cleared out a TON of junk - test scripts, old software installs (photo galleries, moblog, carts, old blog versions) about 650MB of misc. poo - which is now sitting on Sparky - still need to re-port SSH/FTP etc. on this box so I can set it up for remote access, or just stick to my VPN idea - which would give me share access & printer access from anywhere - just have to stop piling things on my Printer :)

A busy week is to follow, just glad I got this flu out of my system and bodily injury to myself out of the way as well - knocked myself good on the head helping lug food inside, car trunk lid caught the back of me head, the bell rang for a while in my head, but I have survived, only some blood - the trunk lid came thourgh it all without a scratch, infact later that day I took my mom to the carwash and paid for her car to be washed and mine as well, in the process 2 of my windows leaked, and sunroof did it’s usual wet number - but a towel was in place already!

Coming week things to do - meetings GALORE - still trying to decide if I want to goto a 4th of July shin-dig (on the 3r) at a old church family friend in McFarland, might be fun, sister and brother in law (beth/mike) are going, so if I do go, I may just cruise up with them - or go at 150mph (as one does on I5) and headup on my own and only stay a bit towards fireworks time (BIG fireworks display at the highschool behind their house) - I mean who could say NO to "FLAMING ASH!" But I may just go for the traditional "Chuck On the Roof" as I do each year - call friends, wish em a happy fourth, as I watch neighbors for 3 blocks blowing themselves and their kids up … plus I can see fireworks at the college, country club, etc. Good times.

This coming week also should bring a few things - at the very least a new area to CMC - can’t give too much on it, but it’s going to be a "hub" of sorts for stories, more on that this week, should pop up by mid-week at the latest, still ironing out the template (which isnt too hard but I do wanna implment some new theme concepts to make future templates even easier) - Also on CMC related topics, The Chart should be making it’s comeback - I hope to have the ground work laid tommorow - still need to talk to the man with a plan (aka Greg) about a few things, but at this point I just want it up and particulars can be sorted later.

AudioA will also have my attention this next week - as we will be discussing a upcoming project, turn-around is pen’d to be about a week, so Lord willing, I’ll be participating in that as well - just going to be one heckuva time management experience! But with the office working, and hopefully after this last batch of crazy, my schedule forming in my brain - I should be able to do the turn around without issue.

LASTLY - Wireless Networking - my gym [linkage] is having me install the new network at the new facility - I pushed for wireless vs. wired as to get cat5 EVERYWHERE in the building would of been expensive, plus with wireless we can easily add-in repeaters and cover the entire space as time goes on, and keep it out of sight for the most part - but starting with 3 stations, got a big hawking corner antena to help boost signal throughout the facilty, and going to go with basic WEP to get things going - but for starters it’ll just be internal networking, the internet line is still ‘being scheduled’ in which I may step in on that as a favor and help speed things along (if at all possible).

But that’s it for me, still searching for a new phone, been browsing Treo650 prices, Newegg - one of my favorite online vendors has it unlocked, for a decent price, about $600 out the door - which is a TON, but I figure, shave off $150-200 for what I can sell my T3 for, and maybe see if my friend will simply cut me a check for the T665C he’s borrowing long-term (not a ton of money, but it’s something, heck i’d go for $75) :) Still have hardware to sell as well, but throw in I could EASILY sell my V551 on eBay or someone locally for $100-$200 - the end price of the 650 wouldn’t be that bad - but again - time will tell, might just get something cheesy in the mean time, and save up - a few other PalmOS pda phones to  be more mainstream in a few months, plus the rep at T-Mobile said ‘In September’ I could see the 650 on displays, but he made ‘No-Promises’ since I am off contract at the moment, if it did come out on T-Mobile, I could probably wing a wicked rebate or price to renew on a 1 yr. Who knows.

Since I am rambling though, it must be time for bed - or at the very least, mindless SG1 watching… which season to pick… night all.
