I have been a T-Mobile customer for a while now - always very professional, very friendly, very good service - have GPRS up and down CA, and it’s always getting faster, stronger signals, etc. nice to be with a company that grows with ya - however the one thing that made me sad is the mixed reports on wether T-Mobile would be providing the Treo 650 or not, its a mixed bag, some people say ‘Yup’ and others say ‘No way Jose’.
So I took my plea to email, I just recently convinced the head of IT of one of the companies I work for to switch his company to T-Mobile, he wanted mobile internet, and his boss is a man of budgets, and didn’t like their current providers rates on unlimited internet, and when he heard what T-Mobile propaganda I was spreading about $20 for all you can eat internet, he took their 35 lines of service and set them up on T-Mobile.
Well T-Mobile’s standing policy for referals is $25 per line, so $25×35=$875 credit. Boo-yah. Needless to say though, while nearly a year of T-Mobile service free would be delightful, a Treo650 would slim down the junk in my pockets, instead of pda, phone, cables, no more - one sleek, slim, sexy device - that is also now Napster To Go Compatible - so a jukebox and a half.
So my plea was to T-mobile that they take my full credits, tie me in for another year of service (so they didnt feel I was getting the phone and running) and buy me the Treo 650 as I am sure they can get it cheaper than I - but then I’d have no worries about buying one off eBay that was a previous vendor unlocked for service, but sadly then NOT supported by Palm anymore.
I hope they take my plea, and send me some love, that brings the total number of people sent towards T-Mobile to 45 people, credits are nice, T650’s are nicer 
if this doesnt work, I suppose I could put up those coin jars at local stores with my picture on it … maybe some mud on my face… and have it say "Please sir… i’d like some more." … where’s my photoshop….
Life has been good lately, busy as heck, but good. Tired a lot lately, but I figure this coming week, life/lord/etc. willing, I think I am going to disappear for most of the week - while I can’t 100% disappear, I think I may live at the lake a day or two, just relaxing and talking to the ducks (huey, duey, luey, are my friends) maybe catch a sunset and a sunrise in the same day, and who knows maybe drag the crew down and cook for em at the lake, but I am sure my parents would wanna come 
But as for the title of this post, I really do hate javascript - not in the sense it isn’t useful where useful, but let’s take TextAmerica for instance, you have a few choices of ‘FLASH’ displays for putting your images on your site, or a static image set, but the catch 22 to it all, no control, some services will NOT allow you to put js into your profile, for example MySpace - and rightly so, while on your own personal site you control the javascript content, MySpace doesn’t want to be responsible for some javascript form a script spywarin’ up a users PC.
Thus enter the God given "TA-Grabber 1.0" no it’s not some obscene bad joke… though it might be, it snags info from the RSS - which I am sure if I were to release this code ol TA would start to ‘adjust’ their RSS again, and require me to find new and funner ways to hack my way around their RSS - but I may - the code is ULTRA simple, but to get around the "no dynamic image" bs myspace had in place, a little mod-re-write love was needed too - ah good times (and yes I said BS… because I was at first saying "WAHHOOO!" then found it replaced the images with ".." since it had a ? in it…. but now muwhahah!
An example:
The example is from AudioA’s moblog - two variables can be passed, either image id or link id to essientally create viable html code, and since it shows the last like 25 in the RSS you could display as many as you like or span the ENTIRE RSS file… ah good times - I may clean up the code - I have like 12 methods in there for displaying images, only settled on one, since the original image is larger, so I on the fly scale it down 50% with GD so it’s easy to display several at once.
Anywhoo - It’s 6am.. and my brain hurt form other projects so this was my distraction.. but now I think I am almost distracted out… so it may be nap time.. or I’ll work through the morning and sleep off the afternoon… time will tell. bbl.
