… to repeat itself: It’s Offical
Aww the memories. Also to answer the question on my screen shot from BfP - those are Yahoo Widget’s just the default install set, other weather ones in the gallery, but now with a beefier processor and configuration it’s running a lot smoother ![]()

Here’s the picture of the day! Went on a drive up Mt. Breckenridge and snapped a few shots - the rest are on my Flickr Page - Enjoy!

Meet BeautyFromPain. I have gotten it mostly setup now, and it’s running pretty dang good - new processor, new ram, new hard drive, all a little more modern than the previous 4 year old hardware - but not to make Sparky’s work seem pointless, it had a lot of good acomplishments from it’s years of service, featuring, but not limited to:
It served me well, but from that loss of what was only a “computer” but a great tool, I have built a new workstation that should take me through this year with greater speed, processing power, and as with all my PC designs, some room for growth into the new Dual Core processors - so thus the name “Beauty from Pain” seemed fitting - for those of you not familar with the title, it is from a Christian Band called SuperChick - I’ll have to get the MP3 up one of these days so you guys can have a listen, but it’s an inspiring song.
Anywhoo - nearly fully online, even have my silly toy widgets installed and flashing random data before my eyes. Monday will be a busy busy day.

Well - getting there! After some memory issues on the system (my ram was improperly detected as SLOWER than it is - I’m sure all you non-tech folk really wanted to know that!) - but I am now back to installing apps, and it’s going well, and even more snappier now that my memory is in 128bit mode (or so the bios tells me).
But it’s coming along, now I just need to find food, as I didn’t eat anything since lunch with dad, so need to cruise out and find food - maybe hit the bank too as I have a bank bag of deposits (lotsa checks) - but at this rate in the AM I can get the last bits of installs (office/frontpage/adobe stuff) and be online and operational once again. Thanks for the prayers, and the random IM’s (even those from you Courtney)
Have a Good Weekend folks!

I love reboots, no really I do. Only downside to re-installing an entire computer is reboots, but 40291.3 down, probably double that to go… but its fast ![]()

Well not going to write a ton (though I might) but the new parts got here about 35m ago, and I already have new SATA drive mounted, CPU in, board connected, mounted, and currently doing a test boot of Ubuntu 64 (for giggles) but it’s running very smoth - heck Ubuntu just found that my video card had “too many supported resolutions” thus it asked me to pick some I might like LoL!
So far so good, Windows is next, have a stack of disks ready to start installing, just wanted to see how the live version preformed with newer hardware - more updates later tonight.
