I’m gonna be in HM Magazine (sorta) ;)

Well had a good meeting with Matt & Mike from Awaken tonight - discussed some shirt things, discussed some faith, discussed the ad I re-created, and one I put together myself, and both of my creations are up for running in the next issue of HM Magazine, so if you get HM, watch for it! It’s a half page ad for Awaken Apparel - it came out pretty darn good, I’ll post my drafts (they are going to add their MySpace page) but if you guys want do check em out, good shirts, fun designs - Good guys :) Make sure you note I told ya to head their way, but for some discounts/deals check their MySpace Page for coupons.

But other than that - last two days have been a blast and busy, have a full night here coming up as I sort of escaped for 2 hours tonight to the mountains :) (almost) - pictures have not been devloped yet (aka camera is still in the bag) but good low / hazy light conditions, side of the road riight at the entrance of the mountains - some good sunset shots too - but should have a picture of the day posted soon.

Anywhoo - that’s me, do check out Awaken - Good guys, also for visitors of CMC - Newsletter coming back very soon it seems, one of my projects for the evening - lots going on, so stay tuned, should update more things here shortly on upcoming projects, and hope to make the announcement by next Friday as to the server move timeframe - so life mellower, better, happier, just around the corner.

Laptop on Speed

Well apparently my HP laptop had a glitch in the drivers which power the CPU (yes, processers + drivers) - Updated from the drivers with those directly from AMD, and low and behold I went from a 997mhz CPU -> 2.2ghz CPU ;) - I almost wonder if it was a more “reported” speed error, as I have had no performance issues to speak of, but low and behold, now it is a tad snappier, but still - always good times.

Got another leg of the server swap done today, across 3 active servers I only had 2 username collisions - as since the new servers are a tad more beefier - I can pretty much put people into two servers (probably 1, but want room for growth on both) - so it’s looking good, very excited, very happy, very relieved of the change and the benefits it presents.

Tired lately though, laid down for a 1hr nap woke up nearly 3 hours lately, thankfully meetings are light this week, some good projects lining up - and some AWESOME headway on other projects that have been on the table - so very excited to say the least that with the hosting swap I will have more time for side projects, aside from general support it should leave some good amounts of time for personal projects, and larger projects - such as gearing up my application Manage which is the backend I wrote for CMCentral.com and a few other sites which manages content - going to take all sub-versions of it and compile it into one more modular/friendly application which will be sold/distributed to specific clients not to the general public, and I think I will be also investing in Zend/IonCube encoding for it so my source is more secure so if I do decide to sell it to the public.

But lots of posiblities on my mind lately, some I am prepared to talk about, some I have only talked with close friends and family, but good stuff around the corner, just so close, but at the same time a lot of things to happen between now and then before it all levels out - quotes, projects, have to talk with a CPA’s office about how to re-sync their office data as the previous method a 3rd party company decided to close up shop this year - so looking at Exchange solutions from HP - not 100% great either, but it’s better than nothing.

Anywhoo - thanks for tuning in to read - I know lately a lot of wordy craziness, but I do hope soon to tune up my sites, adding in my other personal projects soon - moving them from servers first as test runs - but good stuff. Off to work on a ad for HM Magazine for Awaken, need some downtime, thus I am going to focus on it and see if I can get something up and runing for the ad. I’ll be on IM if anyone wants to bug me, feel free ;)

After doing some more work on the server move I cleaned up my desk some… Now just need to clean the rest of the room to match :)

Xanga Crossposting…

Well I may stop use of the Xanga Crossposter, reason? Some of the newer features I have added don’t like it that much - the calendar uses posts, so I must disable it for that, the blog-by-mail feature doesn’t like it either (doesn’t hook it right) but all in all its also kinda buggy, so I may just try to find a way to write a mini-ping for it, so each time I POST it puts up a dummy post “Hi!” or something, and put my Javascript link-back back into place - but even that seems like a lot to do - who knows… maybe just live with the fact that some Xanga users will just never see my blog (i’ll miss you all dearly).

But a good day, good night, good stuff, God’s great, up’s, down’s, left’s, right’s - God is Good. Pretty much all I can sum up posting tonight, Big thanks to my bro for a good convo tonight, so good we ran his phone dead, but I think I was getting tired and just rambling on and on and on - what can I say, I have a nack for rambling :)

Anywhoo, lots of good stuff coming soon, got some good headway on server stuff, some audit work done, hitting the books next, and cleaning things up for the move so that when the time comes, its all good to go - move things over in a weekend, and then after clients are all settled in after a week or so, final planning on the Road Trip, and start pricing cheap GPS units (found one for $67! not sure how good is, but would love one for my roadtrip!) - I’m rambling again, so it must be time to goto sleep - night all. Keep prayin, I appriciate it! Rough road is nearly done, and some good changes on the way, if I can just stop being a coward about some things (I doubt it.. but here’s to trying!) :) Night.

The Fun of working :)

Lately with a few clients it has been fun to work on websites again, granted I have been keeping a close eye on server stuff, and it will most likely keep me busy for another month or so, but then it’s off and running to the ol Road Trip - but that’s another post explainig the Road Trip and the journey I have in mind (hitting 5 states, maybe 6.. again more later) - but tonight I got some time to in my own spare time work on a project for a client/friend - best kind of projects, but also has the potiental to be one of the worst kind of projects.

However in this case it’s fun two fold, my experimenting helps them, and gives me new toys for my blog ;) Enter the new calendar you see on the side, has some of my own scheduled events, compliments of EventCalendar 3.0 - some minor hacking to Wordpress to get it done, and a custom template for the “My Schedule” area, but all in all it looks good - now I just need a Wordpress 2.0+ compatible spell checker, and I am good to go ;)

I’ll be adding more to my schedule with time, and who knows maybe long term even map my road trip I want to get a GPS so I can do GeoCoordinates on Google Maps and mark where I am, but thats again for another post :) Enjoy!
