That’s it, the wires are comin off!

I am done with the mighty mouse! When I got my iMac a few months back I was all jazzed about getting a Might Mouse, 4D scrolling is nice, but honestly, I’m good without it, I have 2 other mice (one Logitech, one Microsoft) which both have it, and I rarely use it - and since the Might Mouse is nearly impossible to clean, and broken part of it while trying to follow a how-to - a new mouse was needed.

Enter the Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000 - I know some die-hard Mac users would say “Your using Microsoft Mouse on a MAC?!” my answer is? Hell Yes. LOL - I am looking for a replacement keyboard too - this keyboard really is sticky, not in the sense I don’t clean it, but its very HARD TO PUSH sometimes, not sure if it’s the humidity/heat here, but its just not happy for me, thus, it must go soon too, must be USB, non-sucky new layout they are giving some “modern” keyboards these days, and be affordable, I don’t care so much if it’s Mac labeled, as long as it works.

Anywhoo - That’s my rant. More later.

I’m full (No, I didn’t goto tacobell)

Just got home from a nice evening, J & J bought me dinner at Joseph’s - was pretty fun, then we swung over to my office and I got some software for their laptop, and we sat and chit-chatted, it was a good evening, very funny, relaxing, and I think it allowed them to talk about work a bit, and joke around.

All in all today was semi-unproductive, just couldn’t get going, ate breakfast, kept trying to work, got nothing :( so I crashed out around noonish, for about 3 hours, and I guess I was tired, even had a dream or two, which is crazy - but I got showered, and ready for dinner and went out, so a mellow day, a nice change for sure - hopefully I can go into Friday with the same level of mellow fun.

Anywhoo, no word back from Rosie yet as to how she thinks she did on her school stuff, but I imagine she did fine, just school gives her a bit-o-stress, but thats the hours of endless fun that is school - so hopefully I’ll hear something onĀ  that tomorrow.

Lastly, if your in Bako and you are free on Oct. 7th, there’s a benefit concert a the Gate, $10 for 16 bands, should be fun, I’ll be there pretty much all day, doing photography, working the booth for awaken, should be a hoot - but if you want more details, some will follow soon.

For now though, I’m off - going to grab a bite for desert, and then crash for the night, dead tired. Night folks!

[INSERT TITLE HERE]

I could of come up with a clever title, but sadly, my brain is tired.

Today was a good day, got the Neon smoged, ready to sell almost, but all in all it’s coming along, took my dad 2 places, the first place was closed mid-day by the state as their equipment was not working properly, the second hooked my dad up and even helped make the repair to get things running properly to pass smog, so very cool.

I snaged a Tuna Melt for Rosie for Lunch and while she ate at work, I peeked at her laptop, and ended up taking it to my shop for some extended tune-up, the new iTunes 7 is a tad bit of a memory hog, so took off the extra video ram and put it back to the system ram, all tunes play smooth, and video is less choppy. In dropping it off at her parents house I was invited in by her little sister and her dad, she was out getting groceries with her Mom, so I sat and talked with her dad, watched some baseball, and just relaxed. Then Rosie got there, helped unload bags from her car, and helped on her homework some, then I headed out, and now I am winding down for the evening.

Also was rather pumped to get some mail this week, my order from Eforcity.com (Treo Battery & Treo Dock) both work good, battery is a tight fit, but it works - next I got my Ubuntu 6.06 LTS discs, another round of hookin folks up with the latest Ubuntu, may even wipe out my PC and slide it on there over Windows, as my XP copy on my AMD64 is laggin, and a desktop with Linux would be nice - sure sure, I have X11 running on the file server, but I want to box that up and use it as a server at the office.

Lastly, I got my movie this week The Lake House - had wanted to see it in theatres, but no one would go with me :( so I just bought the DVD from target, and I must say, I enjoyed it - I laughed, I cried, I screamed “STOP!” - and by saying that I feel a tad girly lol. But it was a nice film, my sister has already reserved it for tomorrow :)

Anywhoo, couple quick prayer requests, for Rosie as she has a lot going on at school and a test tomorrow is a big part of her grade, for me, as I am still fine tuning FlockHosting - though *MAYBE* it’ll go live this weekend, and for my mom as she is traveling up in Petaluma,CA for work - anywhoo, I am going to go grab a glass of milk, and a few cookies, and stare at the idiot box, if anyone feels like it, send money ;) Night.

Bored and Lonely

Work, Work, Work. I sometimes wish I was back on the merry-go-round, spinning till I nearly puke - ah good times. :)

Things have been busy around the office, FH’s nearly finished, keep finding tiny glitches - latest was in the creation of the blog which ties into the CMS (Content Management System) it was doubling up in the header area, and for the life of me, I couldn’t find out where - but I got victory today! Found it, squashed it, and things are looking nearly ready - going to be a lot of quick fixes once things go live (adjusting URL’s from test server -> production) but all in all, I think it looks good, nice new packages, nice new design, and hopefully with the blog a nice informative stream of information for clients.

Work sadly prevents a lot of time from hanging out with friends, but same goes for them, schedule conflicts seem more lately now that school is back in, folks like Dan and Val are scarce, Sarah, Rosie and Jake too as they have classes which doesn’t always let them escape - so lately I just talk to business folk, deal with various support issues, granted most lately have been elsewhere, which is nice, and I ocasionally swing into Kynan’s to hang out, and help ol Bill with a machine or two, but as odd as it sounds, working on a broken Windows XP laptop, is a lot more fun after a day of diagnosing a DNS issue between 6 computers, 2 customers issues with spam, and trying to figure out the template issues ;)

Life goes on, still waiting to hear back from Chevy, my engine light is back on, I think my clutch switch is defective, or the wiring, as it only happens when I have to shift and get somewhere quick (I love highschool being back in) ;) it’s definately less now, but sadly it still happens, and after today’s jam in 4th to get out of the way, the light came back on - so gonna see what they say this round.

All in all, can’t complain too much, tired though lately, and sleep being honkey as usual from lack of it, isn’t helping, so hopefully it’ll all level out over the next week or so, and some deals will come in so I can just rest in 5th gear cruzin for a while ;) Have a Good Day/Night all - I am off to bed.

Lazy Weekend

A nice restful weekend, about to crash out - been sore all weekend as I worked out Friday at the gym, got a new routine, and pretty much the same diet plan as last time 2500 calorie diet, broken up into 6 stops through-out the day, so just must get back into that routine, and it MAY be possible, but honestly, I just don’t know, things are slowly getting finished up, so might be very very busy soon.

Made a good dent on my room, still not done, have some boxes to get rid of (iMac 20 box, R340 box, and I am considering getting a TV, or a new TV Tuner Card for the Windows/Mac - or just go snag a $100 TV and hook it up so I can watch random things in here late night.

I shaved, and found, my face is cold now, but I already had some healthy stubble, maybe 2-3 days and I’ll get a nice patch back, but the reason for the shave was I got sick after my first training session (been exhausted lately) so the facial hair had to go - but it’ll be back soon I’m sure - hopefully this week will bring about some extra cash from various gigs, but more on that after I crash out again. Night Folks.

It’s alive!

Well the wind has been playing havoc with, well everything today, dust is in the air as all the nearby fields are now dry housing projects, so lots of dust being blown - WeatherPOP in my top bar reports 20MPH winds, its nice outside, just don’t breathe too deep - but internet has also been honkey, so my access is just barely leveling out, I think the wind is really only a minor factor as my local cable company just rolled out “Digital Phone” aka VoIP so I think they may of over-sold their connection, but gotta make money somehow I suppose.

Filled an order this morning, and now working on the disaster area that is where I sleep/live aka my bedroom, have the house to myself this weekend so I am trying to stay awake and be mildly productive while its nice and quiet around here, but I also have several other mini-projects on my mind, one is something a few people have discussed with me as a possible website, and for whatever reason - I have it mostly mapped out in my brain as how to do it, how to staff it, and how to make it mildly profitable in the first 6 months - now the big question, do I want to do it?

Money is nearly leveled out, things are sort of odd with the two jobs I am waiting on, one is waiting for final approval to get me a check cut, the service contracts with the gym may be on hold till next year, but ya just never know, I gave them some adjusted numbers, but they may not of been enough to better fit their budget - but life goes on, FH site is closer and closer, if I can just get my sleep/health regulated a bit more, maybe I can get it online and opeartional as well as suprise some customers with some increase in stuff.

I am still looking at a friend server to boot, just with buying a car I am buying little by little, going to put it on the 6mbps line at the office, should be more than fast enough for most of my friends, considering I don’t think any of them are doing streaming audio/video and such. :) Though you never know with some of them :)

Anywhoo, back to my cleaning, cell is on if anyone wants to bug me, your welcome to do so, gym kicked my butt, so I’m a little sore & cranky, so you are hence forth warned. :)

A Year with the Treo650

As of yesterday, it has been one year since I bought my Treo 650 ( original post ) - and I must say, this sucker has stuck threw it all, today it got its first upgrade in a while, new high-capacity battery to replace the stock model which is not keeping a charge well anymore, too many times of it getting run down and used up - so fresh battery, new dock for it here at the desk, and possibly a new Plantronics Headset (Thanks Roger) which reads to work VERY well with the 650 - but this is rare indeed, not often I keep a phone over a year, usually upgrade, but this year, I have stayed strong!

Home for lunch, but found that kind of cool, so I shared it, a full afternoon ahead, waiting on some confirmation on this order that came in last night, and some more work on FH for once (too many spot emergencies) so hopefully I can sit down at the office around 2pm or so and just work, work, work, work, and get it polished up enough to move forward, going to move the setup though off my Linux server here at home to my Thumbdrive so I can work on it’s webserver (yes, I keep a webserver/mysql server on my thumbdrive) :)

Anywhoo - off to find grub! Have a good day all!
