Well what a year, a lot happened this year more on the personal side than the business side, and I hope with this year both side push forward, who knows! I am not one for resolutions, but I am one for moving forward, pressing on, and trying to make the next year the best it can be.

Well it’s the weekend, and this weekend the year draws to a close, but definitely on an upswing, things just seem to be going fast - but good, last night re-tasked a server, installed not 1, not 2, but 3 new servers all with cPanel! So very awesome, and it has me very excited about the possibilities and growth of my YourServer product - I think for a lot of people it will come in handy, only minor glitch, but may end up being a function, is bandwidth monitoring/control - but I have a few ideas, which I think I can safely fix or make into part of a package deal.
In sad news, my iPod’s battery is dead. Won’t hold a charge anymore, so I have 2 options, 1 - get a new one (What I’d like to do) - or 2 - get a new battery (what I should do) - but having a 4th gen HP+iPod is nice, but it’s lived a while, and I can’t drag other content (video) with me, and the form factor compared to the new 5th gen is soooo much smaller with 5th gen - but the budget may be tighter than tight here soon, if I push forward with some work stuff, means I go poor again for a while - but it may be well worth it.
Last bit of updates, Friends server is now active, so after new years, I’ll start cutting a few folk off over to it, sadly its only on a T1 connection that is shared, but I need a split of business and personal when it comes to servers - but the speed is temporary I imagine, hoping for under 6 months, but may be more, all depends on if I can get this 10×10 line for the price range I have heard, if so, and the money is there, then operations in bako will increase, thus friend speed will increase - but first things first, must get reverse DNS fixed up, and a few other system tweaks, but already installed a new alternative (aka cheaper) than Fantastico, but it has a nice set of features, so should be good.

Well tonight I went and saw the lights at CALM and it was nice, good 35F outside, nice lights, funny folk chatting with, and it was fun, pictures will be posted later, found by the end of the night S Priority worked better than P, but thats another post all together
Went to Blockbuster and chatted with Ms. Courtney for a bit as I wandered the shelves, she’s recovering from the Flu, so say a prayer she continues to perk up and feel better - but after I got off the phone I got in line, and checked out, I had my 3 online rentals, and found 2 movies (Lucky # Slevin, and Take the Lead) on sale for $20 for the both, so I thought why not, so I got in line, checked out, and the guy just grabs the two (and my starbursts - dont worry courtney, there will be a few pink ones for ya later) - and he just says “Merry Christmas!” and hands me the stack. So I got Movies + Candy for free! Wowza!
So a fun end to the day, I think I am going to go grab some munchies from Jack in the Box, and sit down to some movies, should be a nice relaxing evening.
This morning started very very abruptly - got a call from the gents @ kMan’s that the installers were there for the new line, however, they weren’t supposed to be there till tomorrow.
So after a quick buzz to my bro, we decided, vs. risk they couldn’t come out Thur. just hot cut it, and go. So thats exactly what we did, with the help of Jacob we got everything unloaded, re-set in about 2 hours, pretty good for two guys, it wasn’t pretty, but it worked.

So very nice. Then we finished the night doing another favor for my brother… YouTuber’s be warned. More later - if I ever wake up.
I think the one thing of technology I tend to like is noise, silence is just too much for me really So this morning (about 30m ago) the power went out and is still out, currently I am on the MBP and using my Treo for internet, so far so good, the MBP has about 2 hours of battery left, the downside to playing iTunes, Adium, and Bluetooth for internet - but so far its letting me finishing unwinding and digesting my food, considering slotting in a DVD soon if it stays off longer, but really have to decide by the 1 1/2 hours of battery left, but I think I’ll still be playing on the net.
Darkness is another thing I am not fond off, it tends to just envelope everything! I got a nice little LED flashlight in my stocking this year, and it came in handy, I was able to go setup candles around a few places in the house which need light (like the bathroom) and then lit 3 candles in our in-door fireplace here in the living room, its not really a WOOD BURNING fireplace, its a little inclosed space, and we keep candles in it actually does make heat, but in this case great for lighting the room some.
So this morning has been playing with nerdy stuff, enjoying the test bed for YourServer (my new product I am releasing) and it’s going really good, but tomorrow I am going to clean the server, and start fresh, clean slate, and go from there - so fun I know - but this week is a big week business wise, re-locating the office, re-locating servers, re-locating the net connection at the office, and finalizing several test things so pretty pumped!
Personal wise, I am going to try and get something setup here this week for a hangout - we all keep trying to get something going, so I am going to just throw something out there and see who can come, if it’s just me, then party of 1 it is
Anywhoo - battery is being used, so going to go use it Night Again!

But it was a fun day, had waffles, the J’s, the Z’s and the B’s all under my sister’s roof (her first Christmas @ her new home) so it was fun, got some fun gifts, including the above lamp got some fun shots too - but then got a massive headache, but only after a few hours it went away, but now I am wide awake, and thinking of going to Jack in the Box as it’s one of the few fast food places open, as I am hungry, but we have no food here and stores don’t return to normal hours till tomorrow!
Crazy stuff, tomorrow starts back up work, got the usual tickets and emails on Christmas and Christmas Eve, but nothing serious, just the usual “How do I do this?!” and “What’s my Username?” both of which will be dealt with in the AM, but a fun holiday time, even got a call from the kMan a minute ago wishing me a merry X-Mas, so the day is truly nearly complete
What’s left this evening? Well making a order from Newegg for printer supplies for the R340, want to print a few of these out and hook up the Z’s with some of their Christmas stuffs, and some for my sister too, so I need a few inks as I am nearly out of a few - then I think it’s a movie, or some mini-code writing for fun.

Well in 30 minutes it’s Christmas Eve, which means first round of food (*ugh*) - but also means I get to meet a gal my mom and sister are setting me up with at Church tomorrow, who knows, setup may equal something more, or may simply lead to another person to join the rat pack of friends and hang out with, which in either case is perfectly fine.
But tomorrow Christmas Eve were going to the Z-House for food and family fun, I enjoy the Z’s, granted I enjoy the G’s too, one day I hope to have inlaws of my own which I can assign a last name inital to but then tomorrow morning I head to my sister’s house for Christmas, which equals Waffles! Joining us this year is my Cousins Sarah and Jennifer (which includes Justin and Camden) so 9 folks over for grub, not sure if the Z clan is coming for that too - but if so, more fun!
So I will write this now officially, Merry Christmas folks, say an extra prayer for the servers if you can - want a worry free holiday if at all possible! Take Care and who knows, probably post more later after Christmas festivities, and I am sure more about the setup tomorrow
