Well I have been looking at phone options, while the Treo650 works for me, it’s lack of updates from Palm and the emergence of the Treo680 just leave me to yet again see Palm abandon a widely used device - so I have been looking at T-Mobile & the “Dash“, first thing… it’s Windows Mobile, I realize that, but Palm while having their own OS really spec’d out their WM Treo’s leaving the GSM models with PalmOS in the dark ages, while I have more software apps than ever to help “fix” small Treo issues, and enhance functionality - off the bat would be nice.
On top of everything else one thing I have been looking at is T-Mobile Hotspots as a place to work during the day, granted I am not a coffee drinker, but none the less there are 15 locations, most Starbucks… okay all Starbucks with the exception of 3 (Borders, Kinkos, a Hotel) - there are 2 locations within 5 miles from me, so if I want to stay close to home, or be “hip” elsewhere, lots of areas to choose from it seems - plus Starbucks makes Tea - so I’m set - T-Mobile’s new data plan fits me as it has the GPRS/EDGE (or so it seems) + Hotspots for $10 more than I am paying now for unlimited GPRS/EDGE.
Other reasons, the money of Feb. I went over on my minutes (currently have 600) one was a 108 minute call from this guy we’ll simply call “JshR” …. he knows who he is… lol - not that he really “caused it” or anything, but enter the wonderful world of myFav’s from T-Mobile, which would let me have friends/business on other networks be a free call, and with a project I have in the wings, it might not be a bad idea, could allow for some ease of calling in the coming weeks/months as this project takes shape and hopefully flight.
Features & Function is a nice jump, 1.3mp camera (great for otg on flickr), bluetooth 2.0, Windows Media/Office - ease of getting things rolling in that dept - but with a 2GB microSD card I cold easily get a good chunk of documents, music, and some photos on the go, granted the 1.3mp isn’t much, but it’s something 
So later today (little after 10am) I am going to go down and check out the Dash, ask a few questions about the package, and see what sort of magic the corp. store for T-Mobile can do for me, as a long time customer, referral king, and someone they have been trying to get off their $20 a month unlimited GPRS/EDGE plan, I am sure they’ll be happy to work with me 
but if not, then - no skin off my back, I’ll save a little bit, and get the Treo680 in a month or two, sadly no 1.3mp camera, but I’ll survive.

59 MySpace spams/friend requests for porn sites later, the flow has slowed/stopped - sometimes I just want to remove my profile and think happy thoughts.
I am sitting here watching the clock tick another digital minute away, currently reads 3:03am on “Sun”
Why? Oh just the usual, I am awake, fell asleep early with a cat that came and curled up next to me on the bed, and I woke up at midnight so, kinda tired, kinda awake, kind of in limbo when it comes to doing something right now. I got to have a lil chit-chat with Jon earlier, and he hooked me up with a lil “thanks” for hosting and such (much appreciated good sir), watched Elizabethtown (IMDB), ate tater tots, and now I am sitting here pondering what to do.
A interesting week - got to spend some time with a friend and his kids, always a fun time getting to be the honorary “Uncle Chuck”, it was fun, and I have the bruises to prove it - I also got to help start the ball rolling on a 80 PC roll-out at a medical facility, which was a fun start, and hopefully this week we can make some more progress and get some folks up and running ASAP since these older machines are starting to suck (suck = technical term).
This weekend has gone.. well not entirely to plan, though I did get to eat ham, hang with family, and hear some news about a project (more on that later) but it’s been a semi-relaxing weekend, and seconds ago just got better with the sound of rain outside y window. I love the sound of rain - just turned off iTunes to enjoy the sounds - refreshing smell too - but this week has some fun stuff coming up, a wedding, a photo day for sure, and of course, the usual joyful work
But since the rain is here, I am going to roll over to the desk @ the window and enjoy the sound as I delete the 24 porn spam myspace requests (stupid myspace), and enjoy the morning. Here’s a picture of what I see right now. Have a Blessed Sunday All!
It does not feel like a Friday at all to me. I got too much sleep last night I think is the problem, just was tired when I got home, and crashed out hard, I don’t really remember checking my email or anything, just cleared off my bed, snagged a pillow and a cover from the couch, and was out.
Today has been mellow thus far, some projects on-going, a few minor support questions, billing emails, etc. usual email traffic, and of course a call or two - I am back out on-site this afternoon helping on some computer deployment’s at a local medical facility (which will remain nameless), which is a nice change of pace really - probably an hour or two there, did around 4 hours yesterday, so maybe iPod money to replace my iPod as it’s battery is sucking more and more lately, but it may just go into the general budget- ah the joys of money.
The weekend if it brighten’s up a bit may proove nice for a photo drive, be nice to get some more fresh air and enjoy the outdoors, seems like every time I tried to venture out this week, I got stuck indoors! but with taxes done, and other things shaping up, hopefully a few more photo outings in a month will happen, be nice especially if I can get my print selling site active.
Anywhoo - on with the day, just needed a break for a bit, but the break is now over. On with the show. Have a Good Friday Folks.
Ah what to do today, the week has shaped up fairly nicely - made some progress on a few projects, gotten some much needed sleep/rest - trying to swing back into things a bit, got a server blip fixed up this morning, which I started working on yesterday, silly software licensing - but thats fixed and working now - so one thing off the list.
So what to do today? Already hit a few mini-support issues, and sorting thru some mail, but my big task for the day is to try and get things finally organized around here, which means finishing the project of my room, I do have some other “business” work to do - but I’ll get that in throughout the day, just want to get my bed setup, table out, coffee table in, and hopefully by middle of next week the TV tuner in BfP ready to go, thus TV in my room again.
So I suppose it’s time to get to it, say a prayer for my brother and sister - both have job related stuff today, so prayers are appreciated. Have a good Thursday!
Well after crazy weeks of servers, taxes, drama, deconstruction, reconstruction, and a hiatus from WoW (I’m surviving) - I finally as of last night, just passed out. I did it again today, had a day planned, and suddenly I was tired beyond anything, laid down again, and was out till about 5pm, nice to finally relax a bit, and I really have been trying to, thus why I had my little project this evening which let me put Linux on my old Tungsten T3, its not “ultra useful” but it works I suppose, charging up the battery right now so I can play a bit on the couch.
Tomorrow (granting I can stay awake) I plan to get started on cleaning my mess again room - its half done really, I do have the couch in here now, and with the TV Tuner I just snagged from Woot.com, I hope to have it all setup and where I can enjoy TV in my room from the Media rig, get to see if Windows Vista’s Media Center is any good - so hopefully so, I was excited to not pay $105 to get a tuner, but rather $35 - it looks like it could do good, but time will tell, if nothing else, a nice thing to hold me over a while.
I enjoyed the first disc of the first Season of Doctor Who (newest series) and enjoyed it very much, I have the entire first season in my queue on Blockbuster.com - so it should slowly come to me this week a bit, have a stack of Charity DVD’s to take back, she went with me to trade in my DVD coupons for her movies - but I have 3 onlines so I can trade out tomorrow I’d imagine… just need more popcorn.
Some things coming up, for instance the widget on the side, Heroes returns next week, a wedding next weekend, so pretty pumped up, the wedding should be fun, going to of course take in my camera, probably txt the bride this week and see if she wanted me there in any official capacity (if so a good excuse for a 4/8GB card) but either way, a wedding I am looking forward to, feeling so crazy, might even go buy a pair of pants (i know i know… be still your hearts)
Anywhoo - off to a evening of wild and crazy sleep (or at least loafin to some movies) Night All!

I crashed out finally around 10am, a good time for a nap if I do say so myself, got a few hours in and woke up a bit ago to a phone call from again, being clever SeanVT about de-admin’ing my account on CMC - which is usually done after I complete an upgrade of software, but he didn’t want me to think he as angry/upset/against me - gave him some of my own feedback on the situation & noted a post or two - but I think the site needs to do something I suggested long ago, but I guess it seems cool to have a person with the title - oh well, life goes on, I’ve put in my two bits, what’s done is done.
Taxes are e-File’d - I thought about it, knew I’d be tired today and just hit “File” and off it went, so I am waiting for ‘confirmation’ that it was received, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t be - so another thing off the todo list on the wiki, it is looking a lot clearer - actually have things in the completed sections on both sides - so pretty jazzed to have that monkey off my back, and now another one just crawls on up - namely my Uncle’s computer - it’s done, finished it around 645am and it runs smooth, AMD 2500+ with 1GB of ram and a 80GB drive with XP SP2b - probably in the next hour or so swing it by with a 17inch CRT I have lying around I don’t use anymore.
So the week has begun! One day down (more or less) onto the next one!
