I am all out of wack lately, sleep got all messed up, and I can’t seem to find a clear line of thought in the mornings while I am awake - and here it is 3:15am and I can’t even decide what to do to relax….
In other news, flashed my Dash back to WM5 so I could sync easier, and get access to Ringo back, still need to get a few more apps like Google Mail and Maps, but all in all, its set back up now, sync’d and happy - once MarkSpace and Ringo update with WM6 support, I’ll re-flash again and get back to the latest and greatest.
well thats my rambling for now, things on the horizon - so far this week has flown by, but hopefully I can get some time where my brain works
Ever just have that craving for something? Here I am at 3am, craving a maple bar, or a old fashioned donut - maybe a nice chocolate milk to go with, but just sounds GOOD. Not even sure why, but just one of those cravings I get now and again… maybe later this morning if I am still awake, I will go forth and get said donut.
So a new week is upon us all, for me it will include, not one, but two server migrations (Yay… no really.), website calls, billing “experiments” as I test out a new billing software - also catching up with a few clients who’s bills are piling up and their cards have expired - T-Mobile Dash rebate must go in, going to keep the phone, so might as well get some cash back for it, more work on my room, and HOPEFULLY no distractions, a 10×2 line setup, not sure where yet, but more than likely here.
A rather full week with just what I could put down off the top of my head, and I am sure as usual more and more will stack up, but I do want to try and get some quality time in on the books, really trying to clean them up, and re-structure billing as some new things are coming up, and I want to try and get my books leveled out and on the up and up, such an exciting growth year here, and I hope sales can be increased.
Lastly, brief out of town bit at the end of the week, visiting my brother for more or less a day, then coming back for mother’s day, so fun fun, also speaking of my mom, I sold her my old HP Laptop this past week, she’s on it constantly now, so went to a good home and to good use specially in the coming summer as her room is AC’d and the computer room her desktop is in is not - but one thing sold, few more to go, hopefully as I clean up this room I can find a few more things to sell and make a bit of pocket change.
Anywhoo - 3:30 draws near, and I am going to go find something to drink as I am strangely thirsty. Have a Good Monday All!
So the day seems to be slowly coming to a close, so let’s start back a 2 mornings ago, since there are a few things I left out which I am excited about - namely cPanel 11 - it’s the newest release of the control panel I use on my servers, and wowza, its a leap better than ever - I put the “Current” branch on my test box for a little field testing, and must say - performs nicely even over a T1 thats got high-use mid day, things like Ruby on Rails, WebDAV, new Ajaxerific user front-end, etc. going to be a awesome upgrade for customers, very excited to be testing it right now.
Fast forward back to today - had dinner with my friends, got to chit-chat and catch-up a bit, had some delicious steak - and good conversation, was nice to seem them both - as it seems anymore its harder and harder to find some time for hanging out, but today I seemed to find it in abundance, as after leaving their place at almost 11pm, I made it to the theater about an hour before Spiderman 3 started, and hung out with Jake and his friends - was a good group for watching a movie.
Now as for the movie, I am not going to say “And then Peter DIED!” (well except for that one time) - but I will say as the man next to me said “What was with all the love story!?” LoL - now don’t get me wrong, in the 2h 20m of the film there is a lot of action, some amazing special effects (ie Venom) but the storyline is about love, forgiveness, etc. not that its bad, just not quite what I was expecting - but I stayed awake thru it, so apparently it wasn’t all that bad
Coming out of the theater I saw Lilith from Fluxar along with Mark and Joseph who I knew out of their group, my group of course kept going towards the door lol - but said hello chit-chatted for a second or two, then said goodnight, and of course everyone didn’t realize we’d be getting out of a movie after 2:30am, and thus suddenly no one wanted to go hang out at Denny’s anymore but I’ll survive.
So what does today hold for me? Well I am hoping a touch of sleep - dragging a little, as I got a brief nap this afternoon before my evening began, but I could use a few hours more… so for starters a nap here shortly, then the day will happy I suppose So I wish you all a happy Friday, remember, relax, and breathe.
This week has just flown by, seems like only yesterday it was Monday, but apparently that is not the case.
In 2 days I am going to join up with 19,610 people on Flickr and document my day, so I plan to have my A510 in my pocket with a 1GB card, my Dash with hopefully a 1GB MicroSD added, and for some parts of the day, my E500 in toe, but really have fun with this project that Flickr has put together called “24 hours of Flickr” - so should be a fun photo day, and I imagine a few folks I’m around who aren’t big fans of having their pictures taken will be mildly annoyed
Have dinner tonight with the friends, apparently steak will be had then 2 seconds ago another friend who we’ll refer to as “Jacob” or “JS” for short (LOL) invited me to Spiderman 3 tonight at midnight, I seriously need to take a nap if I am planning to even try and make that, this morning I went to bed at 5am, woken up at 10:30am by a nameless employee of a nameless company - called me with a support question, which by the time I got online - was already fixed lol.
Soooo yeah, a busy day it seems - and I’ve only scratched the service when it comes to work, but I really just want to go 2ft to the left, and take a nap…. who knows. Might just do it. More stuff later, other good things to discuss.
Tonight I had a nice gal at the drive thru, I wasn’t wanting anything special, just got a jumbo jack and a order of taco’s - but the gal at the window just seemed to be having a good day - she smiled, asked how I was, and got my order 100% correct, honestly it was the first person outside of my family who really asked me how I was - and I am doing pretty good. Tired, and possibly a touch a heat stroke (never stand on a roof mid-day in the summer) - but when you lay it all out, lay it all down, I am doing good.
Granted a few rough spots, my old 3yr old router (aka 2004 purchased) died today. May it rest in piece. Thus my new DIR-655 took it’s place, and only 1 device in the house takes advantage of it’s 802.11n-ness (the macbook pro) and that is pretty dang snappy - so I did have to snag the Pre-N enabler, but for $2 a small price to pay vs. buying a Apple based wireless router, now I need to get a gigabit switch for my linux server here in the house to keep things internally flowing snappy.
Got a few phone calls, took on a project I sort of half started the other day, and by 4pm I was done with it, had a call in the midst of it and other projects about a possible job, going to call on it tomorrow, would be possibly deploying a server, then another call of the possibility of a part-time job doing tech support and web stuff, so some job options piling up, who knows, might all work out, and life will smooth out with time, just don’t want to go back to work-a-holic mode sleeping at all odd hours, avoiding the rest of humanity, but time will tell.
One call I got was from a friend who got engaged over the weekend, she and her mr. man needed some advice on a brewing situation (not wallpaper choices) but do keep them in your prayers as they enter a crazy start to their life together, hopefully the situation at hand will resolve itself in the next 3-5 days, if not, I bring out the big guns….. more on that later maybe, but aside from the first little blip it does mean I have a new wedding to put on the calendar, who knows, maybe I’ll get the photographer deal, which would mean 2 things, #1 New Lenses, #2 E510? Oh yes. LoL.
I think I am going to wrap up my night by sitting in the front-yard, the wind has been blowing off and on, the moon is nice a full, the breeze is a very inviting sound, helps clear the brain - or if I don’t get that motiviated, I’ll simply head to my bed and pass out… time will tell.
