So I called and talked to a really nice gal, wish I had wrote her name down as it escapes me now 
but she heard my story, I suggested my game plan, and she said “That is what should of happened” lol - so she upgraded my account, when done over the phone it takes a business day, so by Tuesday my current checking account will be upgraded to the NEW free checking, and at that point I *should* be able to do the online savings and get linked up, she even gave me a walk-through of what to click/check etc.
I enjoy getting fun people, she laughed at my jokes even! So it looks like everything is going to work out, and I will only need to close out the 1 savings account I verified, but the other two created (checking+savings) will simply expire if I don’t verify them, so thankfully I can just let those fade away, but once the $1 posts to the savings and my other savings is up and running, they’ll remove the $1 to my checking, and close it out.
Thankful that I called now, very thankful to have someone who was super helpful - here’s to Tuesday and it all working 100% a-ok!
Now its off to the shower, onto my day!

So after looking around for options on the savings route, turns out my bank (WaMu) offers a special savings offering of 5% to customers who have their Free Checking they call it “Online Savings” and it looks good, however I am hitting an issue with it, see I signed up ages ago, and my account claims to be a “Free Checking” however its not the right “kind” of Free Checking, so thus, I am playing the game to get it.
Yesterday a telephone banker instructed me to sign-up for an Online Savings account sans the linked checking, this she claimed would allow her to link that savings to my personal checking within my online banking login, so I did that, the micro deposits came in, I confirmed and called back to get things linked today, however - after 2 online bankers I made it to a Online Banking Manager - which said:
“I don’t know why they would of asked you to do that, that will not work at all, your current Checking account is not the newest version of “Free Checking” - so you are no eligible for this offer, so what you need to do, is sign-up for the linked accounts, then call us back, and we’ll get you squared away.”
So as it stands, I know I am going to be calling back Monday, and I know its going to be even more fubar’d that before - don’t get me wrong, I love WaMu, they’ve treated me good, they have some very nice options for business, but somehow I know calling on Monday with now not 1, but 2 savings accounts, and now a 3rd checking account to my name, they are going to say “Uhm, we can’t do this either” lol. To me now that I let it simmer in my brain, the best course of action would of been to do this:
- Upgrade my current “free checking” to the new “free checking” thus giving me all the fancy new addons.
- Tell me to apply again, thus the form reads the right checking account, and lets me sign-up.
- Tell me “Mr Brown, you are our hero, thank you for banking here… here, have a taco”.
Seems like the best course of action, so I am going to call them back and suggest that as a solution and see if it works, because to me, it seems like it’d be the perfect solution, it’d get me to the proper checking account (the reason probably it wouldn’t let me go in the first place) and then I can sign-up and be online the same day with the online savings.
Ah what I go through for a savings account, I just want to save some money 
is that too much to ask? Monday I’ll probably be closing 3 WAMU accounts (the new checking + 2 savings) and having the simple 2 second fix applied that I just thought up, who knows, if I get really excited, I may just call today and suggest it.
So woke up at around 5:30 or so, still feel a little bit edgy - but today short of some minor server work I have done already, to a service call this afternoon - the day should be pretty light, which is a nice change, I do have a possible server migration coming up next weekend, but it should be pretty laid back, just need to let the customer know we need to order his new server from his server company by Wednesday so its ready to go by Friday night.
I am hoping at some point to get some sort of photos, the 365 project has slowly become a lost cause, just been too many days were I was feeling sick and thus not at the computer to use the iSight, and on top of that, it would not be a pretty sight to be hold, but if I can get away for a bit, I think I am going to goto the lake, been a while since I’ve gone - just relax there for a while and snap a few shots.
CS3 should be here before 7pm, I know the UPS guy who runs our route, my dad fixed his classic Mustang - but he tends to get here around 4pm (on average) but usually later in the afternoon/evening, but it’ll be nice to get CS3 up and running, give Dreamweaver a look, and see what fancy things I can do with “Photoshop Extended” 
so should give me something to relax and do later tonight.

I know something is going on with the ol body, but not entirely sure what - tonight I started to feel sleepy, then all of the sudden my mind was everywhere, so I headed to lay down, and whammo - saw my dad’s cat, and his sore on his head oooozing - needless to say its gross beyond belief. I have seen some disgusting things in my time, but this, because it keeps oooozing out of his head, just takes it up a notch or two - had to hold back from throwing up.
So I gave the cat a bath, something he hates, but his fur was gross, his head was gross, he looked miserable, and while I know he’d howl till the cows came home, I had to do it, in the hopes of giving the poor little creature some peace, and boy howdy, did he howl. poor little guy, just not sure how that much puss is in his head, its gross and then some - I think I may puke.
But I dunno, maybe it’s the full moon, officially a full moon tonight, so maybe the bit-o-werewolf in me is acting up, but right now I feel like half of me is asleep, and another half is up running the mile, twice - heart rate is up, almost would classify it as a panic attack - who knows. Hopefully things level out though, I know I need a break, I know I have a little bit of stress on my plate right now, but its no more than I’ve handled in the past, so not sure why its so different now.
Anywhoo, I should get off here, and try to unwind, prayers are appreciated, I am hoping to get a photo friday in tomorrow, but at this rate, not sure if sleep will come, and I have a 2pm tomorrow, so sort of seems a little doubtful, who knows. Hopefully peace will come to my mind, and sleep will follow. Night all.

Well a step away from work this afternoon I worked on the CSS of the site using CSSEdit2 - finally decided to upgrade and see if the new version could help me in my on-going battle with CSS - did it? Sorta.
I am a old school designer, give me Tables or Give me Death (should make a t-shirt that says that) - but I know the flexible nature of CSS, so I really want to get my head around it so in some projects I can do some fun stuff and make it look good - so with that, and CS3 coming tomorrow, I am hoping to work on a few site layouts that I have worked on off and on for the last 2 years, and actually get them done.
Anywhoo, going to stare at this computer for another little bit here, then its off for some of the night, trying to take a few hours off the computer again a day, and remember to do things like go outside, talk to friends, eat food - you know the little things have a good Thursday folks!

Well yesterday was funny, had a list of things to do, was sort of well rested, then suddenly I felt the need to goto sleep, was just really tired around 2, and I went for a “nap” and woke up to pain, which proceeded to a need to goto the bathroom, after that I moved around a bit, only to return to bed, and sleep another 8 hours, and thus I woke up an hour or so ago, still a tad achy and shooting pain in my head, but thoughts clearer than they have been in 2 days.
So I got my todo pile done in record time, got things tuned up for a few customers, cleared a site which had been hacked and was doing a spoof bank site, customer is going to start from scratch, was very sorry for the trouble he felt he caused, while I could complain that he should of kept his programs up to date, he gave me no rude comments, was very happy to work with my suggestions, was ready to go when I was, every step of the way asked if he could help in any way - just awesome.
Anywhoo - I could write a bit more, but I think I am either going to go find something easy for breakfast, take a hot bath, or try to go back to sleep - CS3 get’s here Friday, so pretty pumped about that, need to check in with the client about the proof I sent to her on Monday, and need to get a migration price/plan sent to a server customer. So a busy day ahead, have a good one folks!
Well tonight sadly marked the end of the “Sleep Fest 2007″ for the last week or so, I got to bed early, woke up for maybe 5 minutes in the middle of the night, then passed out again to awaken early - tonight however, I laid down for a bit to try and stretch out after a day in the chair, and bam, out like a light, which leads me to 1:15am when I woke up and wasn’t just “awake” I was “UP! AND READY FOR DUTY SIR!” no idea why/what - just up.
So I am here working on some misc. things, one of which was upgrading Wordpress, sadly I had to ditch the k2 theme, just too many of the plugins I enjoy and hacked up to work all fancy, no longer work in this version for whatever reason, and I have no desire to poke around and find the old version that worked, so back to Wordpress basic templates again, this one isn’t my favorite, but it’ll work till I can get some time in to code some similar functionality as the last one, hopefully with the new tools ordered, I’ll get some time to give CSS another whirl and see if I can leave the world of tables and font tags behind
A good day for bringing in the bacon so to speak, cleared $900 in incoming today, should of been $1020, but none the less, $900 is better than $000! But things are picking up around here it seems, taking on this project has me jazzed, not the most money I’ve made on a design in my time, but not the least either, really at some level above and beyond as a way to thank the photographer for the deal and fun photos she took @ my friend’s wedding, its also a way for me to get my feet wet in design again, and while some tasks today took me much longer than they would of in the past, it felt good to be working on it again.
Plans for the early AM include, checking into an expired SSL cert., flushing a site that was compromised, putting in a manual apache hack for a client to help out, refreshing the CS3 order page for a tracking # constantly, and working on the sketches for secret project #20391, may even get some work done on the FH end of things, some updates I need to do, also hacking up the old TN layout I had done about 3 yrs ago, still looks good, just want to clean it up, make it little faster on the load time, and get it ready for production.
Anywhoo - keep me in your prayers, busy busy around here - things always seem to amp up, hoping to get some spare cash in the bank, and then open up a savings account for the first time in a few years, really want to build up my savings, and get some bills paid off, so hopefully I can keep up with the load, and get things rolling up and up.
