Yesterday was a whirl wind of a day, I went to bed at 7am, only to be woken up at 9:30am by a call, which then I was awake again, and no time to sneak in a real nap, I went to my lunch meeting, awesome stuff, good solid meeting, got some ground work laid out, and I got some upfront money, which is a nice infusion to the budget right now, this month was getting a bit tight there, but thankfully with that, and hopefully something else thats brewing in the sidelines, things will all work out.
Few folks have commented to me the other day they would like to see me with a iPod again, as I do miss the ol bugger, but still holding out, if this one gig works out (which I am praying does) then things all around get easier, get a nice apartment, get savings built back up, a nice touch of stability really - it’d be a lot of work, but in the end, what worthwhile isnt? So hopefully things pan out, a iPod budget forms, and I can enjoy delightful tunes
All in all things thus far this week have gone good, I am hoping for the trend to go the same thru today, and give me a nice relaxing Friday, but life is life
ya just never know! But for now, I am going to do some database layout, both for short-term and long-term of this new project, have to map out a user database, I want to do a little ajax bit if possible to do dynamic username checking, so if someone types in “buttercup” it lets them know that is already taken without having to re-submit 30 times.
Anywhoo - have a good Thursday folks!

Well I just couldn’t stop, and in about 6 hours I have a meeting, LoL - I was up most of the night reading the 2nd book (363 page) finished it.. good stuff. Now if only I can get some sleep before this lunch meeting, that would be a good thing ![]()

Oh how I loathe and love technology sometimes
I miss my iPod for my car, it was nice to have my collection on hand in the car, easy to access, not to mention easy to put on headphones at night and pull up a playlist and rock out while coding
ah only in due time, I almost bought one at Target the other day, but I held myself back… a while longer still… if only I had $350 on hand for the 80gb model…. ah a boy can dream can’t he?
Tonight it was one wild time after another, got to hang out with friends, it was a good time, a really nice Saturday night, granted more sleep might of been a good idea, but all in all, fun fun - played a little poker, still suck lol - but I want to get some rules down for blackjack, I think it’d be fun - and I’m not bad at it
but hopefully if I can wing it, more fun to come as the summer ends and we all settle into patterns again.
Work front.. some things brewing I think… a weird Friday, good/bad - but things could be moving forward, found out some odd stuff about some folks, about how they think of me apparently, and the level of respect they have for others I know - sad really, but I suppose folks aren’t always what they seem, such is life, and life goes on, but in my own life, some things could be in the works which could make some good changes.
Anywhoo, its almost 4am, I am watching Eureka, drinking water, and pondering sleep after this episode … so I wish you all a happy Sunday, take care!

Well Wed. was a good day overall, granted I didn’t get as much done as I’d of liked, but in the end, I got things done
got to have a chat about some work/business, worked on the new spam issue - the filter on server (SA) is keeping up, but it’s increasing load, so at peak times of the day load is slightly higher, but not horrible.
Things are coming around though I think, and while I found myself @ Apple.com looking at iPod’s, I know that will have to wait till I can be sure the budget is 100% sorted, and if this work comes through as well as 2 side projects, then it’s even better, and within 2 months I’ll just save and get a 80gb if I can wing it.
Got my ING account activated entirely now, a whole whompin $15 in it
I am going to try and put at least $15 a month in there if not more, and start to build up a little something for a rainy day - I think I may also cancel my checking @ WAMU for personal, and make ING it’s new home, that way if I need funds from savings, I can do a transfer online to the checking account and use the debit card - or so is my current thinking.
Anywhoo… while there is a ton of things on my mind, a lot of things I hope come to pass job wise, it’s 4am, been up since 2am, may try to get some sleep, I have to write up a server move though for a customer, and then get things ready for the LONG transfer night, as the current line the customer has is 768kb up, and he has a bit of info
Keep me in your prayers though if ya can, business is not in a horrible slump but it has slowed, and a few customers have closed down their sites (granted after 4+ years) so lost some monthly revenues, and I need to work on a promotion to get that number back up a bit if I can… the joys of work
have a good Thursday folks.

Been a while since I have read a book for fun, granted there are code manuals, sites online I brush up on new things with, but to actually enjoy a book? Been a while. My book of choice was on I had read before, but it’s a power, well written book. Operation Firebrand. It is a 3 novel series, and I own all three, so 1 down, 2 to go
Nice to relax away from the console, just like watching the meteor shower the other night, a nice change of pace - lots of things are on the horizon, change of location, change of jobs (sorta) lots of change, and thankfully I am remembering to unwind again, which for me, isn’t something I can usually do - amping down after a high-stress/anxiety bit is still not the easiest thing for me.
Anywhoo, being it’s 430am and I am awake, going to check in on backups, then I think I am going to aim for one of the following:
So I will say farewell, have a great Wednesday!

Odd title, its what I aim for most of the time, so what’s gone down since yesterday? Well I know I need to get my last bits done, considering calling the cable company in the AM, just been busy busy - but the bank bit got finalized, took in my $2 and got the account squared away, $3 overage, $1 in the account, $2 in hand, and the gal closed it up nicely. Big stress off, then I said “It would of almost been easier to sign up at ING” - she replied “I would. I love ING” lol - I think that’s the plan - I may just end up canceling my personal account with WAMU, and just keep only my business banking there, and get the Orange Checking/Savings setup, and call it good - but I already have the savings underway, put in $15 for starters, going to try and put in at least $15 each month if not more.
Coding! Got me some HTML from mr. dan-o, going to fiddle with some code concepts for our meeting with this client, want to show him some roughs of what I have in my head, and let him see how it can flow - but thats pretty fun, I like concepts lately, I can lay some ground work, and the client can have some base functionality and I don’t have to code 3 days for a COMPLEX demo, I can give a workable bit, and then fill in the blanks later.
Murder close to home… this morning when I woke up I knew I had heard police sirens, but when I looked out the living room window, there was nothing, no cars, no trucks, quiet morning, went to work, thought nothing of it - then my neighbor called and said there were police near her house, though she lives across the street from me, I saw nothing still, so I put on sandals walked out, saw one, walked further, saw the entire top half of the street shut down, packed with police cars, police tape, etc. crazy crazy.
More later…
