Well since I got the T-Mobile Dash I had read it impossible to connect to the internet on it, and this morning in trying to get the internet working as one person noted via the USB cable, it failed time and time again, and so I thought “Well it’s been a while…” and hit my old friend Google.
Enter the FurryGoat - who had the walk-through. Aparently Apple added support for Bluetooth PAN’s in 10.4.9 - so low and behold, I can now activate Internet Sharing on the phone, and connect it via Bluetooth, and tada - online on the go - Many thanks dear Goat
Yay! One sign-up, still yet to complete the free offer, but its a start - for those who have asked for more of a understand of how the free ipod idea works, basically it is as follows.
1. User 1 signs up.
2. User 1 completes one of the free offers, ranging from free newsletters, trials memberships - Each offer varies in how long it’ll take to verify your first needed sign-up.
3. User 1 invites 5 people to complete the sign-up as well.
4. User 1 has 5 friends who sign-up and complete the same range of free offers - you get your iPod.
For some will say “Pyramid scheme” yup - minus the fact that to accomplish the “must” of the purchase in, its free. So you could get a free 2 week trial of Blockbuster for instance, 2 week free trial gives you free DVD rentals via postal mail, and then you also get 2 free in-store rentals. Cancel the service within the 2 weeks, you owe nothing.
So you can get away with paying nothing, getting a little something in exchange for your time, and get the possible iPod in the end if you can get people to sign-up. So thats my hope, if I can get a few more maybe, just maybe I can get me a iPod - but in the mean time, I have 20 DVD’s in my blockbuster rental queue and 2 free DVD Coupons! Either way I win
