A long night last night, that ended shortly after I got to sleep for about 30m or so, then off to work to a meeting - it went fair, a lot of things I already knew, a few things we worked out - who knows maybe one day they will listen to me - but as of 02/09 I will have been there 1 year… so we’ll see how that goes.
But thanks for the prayers - the meeting wasn’t horrible - granted part of me wanted to sleep like there was no tomorrow, but I got thru it with a to-do of things to do, but already crossed off about 3-4 of them already, not like many of them were hard - just a lot of “DO THIS NOW” items have come up over the weeks, plus personal life has had demands which I am more than happy to prioritze over work as my friends and family are far more important than a job that doesn’t respect me. lol.
Anywhoo - thanks for your continued prayers, hope this week will go smoothly, only 2 days left, and then it’s turkey day & day after turkey day Night folks.
So tonight could of gone much much worse. The biggest gripe was the last dryer on the row doesn’t work in the laundry facility (calling the manager in the AM to let them know) - but it held me up a little for my evening with the boys, but in the end it’s currently drying the remainder of the way on the shower curtain rod
I made it to dinner @ 9:15ish to see a group of friends I have not seen in 1 place for quite some time - and it was good to see them all, and get to share a meal, good conversation etc. - there was a slight difference in opinion on Rocky Balboa - but no one died (yet - as I agree it was good) lol - but we laughed, had fun, had the Denny’s pretty much to ourselves as usual when we have a later evening group in the work week - but we chatted, Scott graciously picked up the tab, and we headed out our seperate ways, minus Me, Jake and Jeff - we chatted a bit longer, and I just barely pulled into the house now.
A much needed night, even got slipped a thank you card from Scott (thank you good sir, always glad to help!) for my help this week which was an honor to provide - and getting to see Dan, Jeff and Jake - a good evening of company which I think was needed.
This week has begun to slow down for me, a few days there I thought it was going to be Friday instantly and an entire weeks worth of work was going to be done, and I’d not gotten anything done - but it has begun to mellow, got a massive pile of things done at work that were waiting for me from Tuesday, and now tomorrow Cory should be here (call me for directions to my place! I’ll be settled @ work by 9AM(PST)) - but hoping this weekend should be mellow and get to spend some more time with Friends/Family.
Anywho…. time is up, off to put away laundry that did dry, clean up some as not sure what time Cory is gonna be in, and see if guys want to join up here and have pizza and hang with Cory - might need to stock up on beverages… but I think I can handle that. Keep my dad in your prayers as he goes in for shoulder surgery @ 6am, going to try to make it out to sit with mom for a while - also lift up Virgil Hoss, haven’t heard an update, but last news I heard he had collapsed in Costco, very nice man, amazing family!

So it finally happened, all my lack of sleep, interaction with those I knew had colds, and well stress caught up with me, today I left work at 11am or so, I just couldn’t function anymore, and I am still achy galore right now, head is spinning, and I just keep running a high temp. Sick.
Thus I think I am going to call in tomorrow morning unless suddenly I feel 100% better, heck even 50% better would be a step in the right direction, just really think I need the rest - and lets me ease into my weekend worth of work/projects and keep it mellow leading into Monday a fresh week ready to go.
Anywhoo - feeling a little sleepy so going to give things a go with getting some sleep. Night all.
Okay okay - odd title, but it’s the Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog Soundtrack I just snagged from iTunes - a nice addition to the flick, I hope ol JW decides to make a few more episodes if not make it a regular thing - but a nice thing to listen to as I finish up the day off
A interesting “day-off” which for me included working around here on things - put up a few things, tried out my oven - I need to find the scissors though as I can’t cut the shelf paper without em, probably borrow my pair from work as I don’t use it there that often, but at least it’ll hold me off from going to Target again, and blowing a lot more money lol.
I think I have my security system sorted, probably be in this next Friday or so - but around here the nighborhood has been quiet and mellow, the ocasional group of kids yelling at the pool, but not a big deal, heck even my upstairs neighbors making a racket today didn’t even bother me, as they are moving out but its all coming together to be lovely, maybe week after next have folks over for a house/apartment warming (depending on what they want to call it).
Sent off my current logo to two of my buddies tonight, looking to have the Thrust Networks logo re-done, I made the one in use over 10 years ago, and it could use a fresh touch just like FlockHosting got a while back - but I’d really love to see what my friends can do as they are both insanely gifted artists - and I bet they can come up with something original/fresh/clean - but with that I think I’ll be able to get a fresh site ready for TN and I am going to start working this week on FH’s refresh to include some new packages/functions/features/etc.
Anywhoo - going to finish up my day and get a hearty 6 hours sleep before I start back to work, been a nice 4.5 days off, but sadly things must go back to the lovely grind, but hopefully a night’s rest helps me be fresh and ready for the challenges of day! Night all! Have a GREAT Tuesday!
So this weekend is more weekendy than most - or something. I just got the call (okay about an hour ago) that my apartment is a go, and that tomorrow @ 11am, I will meet, give a check for the pro-rated month, (going to pay next month too) and I am 100% live! I’ll get keys, I’ll get going, it’s gonna be great!
But there it is! I am sure I’d have more, but sadly I don’t at the moment, just busy getting boxes together, calls to get things installed, good stuff! More soon! Thanks for all the prayers!
So I am back home now, I didn’t come and zone out on the net, had a pile of things to do, so I had to get them done (still a few more to do) but I stopped and un-winded a bit with Dan and his fam - was enjoyable indeed!
My dad is home now, got him home around 5ish they said he was indeed dehydrated again, but they noted his kidney function is lower than it should be so Monday they meet with a specialist - but he is doing good, came home, made him some eggs, he took a nap with my extremely tired mom, and now they are onto nap 2.0
