The Treo is Sick.

Well my Treo is getting worse, suddenly I only am able to keep a charge about a day, even with just moderate use, the battery just DRAINS away :( sad to have that happen, but it’s getting along in age, I have however told myself no more purchases for a while, I really want/need to get the budget caught up, pay down some cards I used for the business, and get things going on FH/TN a bit more so I can get things happy and running smoothly.

In other news, half of my project down, and got maybe another 1-2 hours tacked on, which is a nice bit of money towards paying down cards/taxes/etc. so pretty jazzed about that - but a good day, got some rest and dealt with customer issues, even got to go into the office and help get Sam and Courtney’s new workstations setup on the Scalix server again - all went very smooth - called and wished Ms. Rosie a happy birthday, as she is the newest member of the 27’s club, Courtney ages this week however she will remain 25 for a second year :)

Possibly heading out of town a little this week, going up into the mountains a bit to do some shooting (camera) so might be fun, I really wish I had some money to spare for a lens or two, would be awesome to have a bigger camera bag and extra battery too - but on that end I am looking at possibly setting up a little store for selling my photos, found a few places that will do large printing for me (20×30 prints) - and I know a guy who does framing - so I could offer a complete printed solution end to end and my main hard work would be shipping or delivering it - so I am trying to do some pricing ideas in the long run where I don’t spend every ounce of the sale on paying for the prints and what not, and actually walk away with $50-$100 per print (would be nice) - who knows!

Anywhoo - that’s all I have for right now, I think I am going to throw a DVD in to have as noise and re-arrange the room a bit, may actually start by moving the iMac desk so it’s in it’s final place (aka flip 90 degrees) but then its some clean up, putting the new LCD in place (doing a test run) and waiting for tomorrow to come as the remainder of the parts for my Media Rig & my Uncle’s workstation all comes in, so should be goooood stuff. So have a nice night folks, thanks for stopping by - a note to friends I host, I may be moving you guys to another server, I know I know, I’ve set it off and on for years, but I may really do it this time ;) One last thing (yes my brain is only mildly scattered) keep my friend kMan in your prayers - some personal life stuff, can’t post a lot on it, but I’d appreciate your prayers for him.

So I didn’t get out for the second leg of shots, but I got some good rest - but here are some of the shots:

All in all a fun day! Just wrapped up some planned maintenance on the servers, so winding down to crash out for the day - though I really am craving Biscuts and Gravy… maybe a quick breeze out to Denny’s or Cindy’s for some grubbage.

Now that was Fun :)

Well I just got done uploading the raw goodies, nothing photoshop’d or tweaked, just as shot - there were two different parts to my wandering first was me driving up to my ol haunt Mt. Breckenridge - a classic for me - the second half was randomly picked by Courtney who I simply asked the question “Right or Left?” she picked Left - which is the direction I turned and ended up on a 2 1/2 hour drive to and from Tehachapi,CA (Great Burger King up there, very fresh) - one spot I took about 20 shots, and was able to create a little time-lapse photography, (warning that’s 2.4mb).

All in all it was fun, I do have a Panoramic set of shots I want to see if Photoshop CS3 can piece together for me with it’s new fancy tool - who knows, may have a pretty view to share later tonight - but all in all, a relaxing drive - some fair shots, some I want to run through CameraRAW or Lightroom (which I pre-ordered today) so might have some fixed up shots later on.

Anywhoo - enjoy the shots - if you want something larger, I have 8MP raw’s - just comment on the photo.

Check-In

Beach Livin - a nice getaway:

Sunset

It’s a fun time, hung out with my cousin a bit, went to Flushed Away with the Kid and my bro, and hung out and chatted with Harmony for a bit, a nice relaxing weekend, but going to make my way back to Bako tomorrow, get all situated, maybe work on my bedroom a bit, and probably work to get back to the gym as well now that my energy level is getting back up, break helped, so maybe a jump to the work-out wagon again. Who knows.

Well back to loafin. Night folks.

Saturday Fun

Saturday I did get to have some minor fun aside from a wake up call to work on a server for kman, I met up with Joe and Janesse for a second shoot, it was fun, they were more relaxed, we had more light (maybe too much) and I think personally I found my favorite shot:

Second Shoot

Tis cute, a few others as I did shots in drive mode, since we had problems with blinking last time, so several shots in a row, but it was fun, put a few shots on flickr, there were 328 total, but some were of Joe and Janesse Dancing, and dramatically running to each other:

Running!

Again - good fun :)

It’s Monday?

Well I survived the weekend (I think) - started on Friday heading down to Grover Beach - my first real “long drive” / “road trip” style thing - Mom and Sister came along for the fun, and my driving made no one sick as we traveled down HWY 166.

We stayed at my brother’s place for Friday and half of Saturday, with Saturday meeting up with my cousin, aunt & uncle (aunt and uncle were visiting from Bakersfield too) - but it was a fun trip, we did loose power at around 12:30am or so Saturday Morning, but even un-plugged from the net, window open cold air flowin in - twas good stuff.

We got home around 4:30pm or so I think and I crashed out after a while, as Sunday my dad was preaching in Weldon,CA (about an hour or so up the canyon/hill/etc.) - waking up to a cell phone call Sunday morning was a blessing (was in a odd dream), twas my mom checking in that I saw the address of the church - and I showered and headed up the hill, my second big drive in 3 days - and windy, close to walls of rock, scary but fun.

Church was alright, dad kind of got shorted on time as they had a presentation - but he got in 30m of his message, and it all seemed pretty well recieved - and after it was all done, I primed the camera for some shots on the way home ( see flickr ) - I got some good shots, wish I would of turned off to Lake Isabela, lake was bluer than blue! But I missed the turn off since I was talking on my cell and not reading signs - but it was a semi-important phone call about a job.

But I made it home, loaded up my photos and took time to map some of my shots on Flickr ( my flickr map ) which was fun, then I zoned out and fell asleep again, but it was a good weekend, and here I am at 9am, trying to get all setup for the day, some work I truly want to work on today, and some I honestly don’t - but the week beckons. Have a Good Week Folks.

What’d you do today?

A loaded question. One I should probably be sleeping off, but I need to unwind a bit, so to the keyboard I stumbled.

Day started off good, a good night’s rest, and a nice email & call:

  1. I have a Wednesday appointment at the car dealership to check out my “Check Engine” light, lady said its a common goof, and usually nothing, but to stop driving the car if the light starts blinking (no blinks yet)
  2. Car insurance is in place, active, and paid for.

So with all that squared away, got my first REAL DAY of use out of the car, went to the gym, hung out, talked shop, looks like I have the job! 4 computers, one wimpy one for backups, and a service contract! Woohoo!

Next I went to the office, and got some pricing on the space next to my current office space, and maybe if things pan out with my brother we may have both spots! So very cool there.

Ran home to freshen up a bit, before the shoot - and then headed out to meet the couple - got there a little early, so I played at the gym for a bit on the front desk PC waiting for em, they showed up and we headed out to the lake - well actually above the lake to be exact, so we got some fun shots, get back to those later - but it left me a little late, but I drove like a mad-man to the next stop…

CompUSA to meet Rosie, we got her laptop with only mild irritation - long story, but in the end it all got taken care of, and is all good - she now has a fancy laptop, it’ll work great for school, and is affordable to boot ($599!) some rebates to do, but not too shabby either way - so we went to my office to do some software installs, but then I saw the clock and realized I needed to get my cuz and her friend for a movie, so Rosie came with for the ride, and we moved on to the next step..

Sarah and Ariel (wowza) lol - I say Wowza, as I think the girl may of been on speed. :) LoL just a very loud personality, but she wasnt too  bad, except when she assulted those police officers….. I kid I kid… anywhoo we went and dropped off Rosie at her car (which was at B&N across from the theatre) and went to see Click. Good flick, worth every cent Sarah paid (Thanks BTW!).

Lastly I needed my laptop, I wanted to work on the shoot photos some tonight (but I think I may just pass out… so tired.. but downtown was all blocked off by BPD, so we had to park a street over, go through parades of drunk folk, and make it to my office in the middle of the chaos, and trek upstairs, snag my camera/laptop, and then back down.

A complete night if I do say so, and some fun time today in my car, nice to be able to go out, and have AC and not be soaking wet between car rides…. but I do miss the heat after a minute or two of sitting in my office with the AC on.

Ariel, if Sarah is letting you read this, eat my turkey sandwich and goto sleep. Crazy baby coffins. (don’t ask folks) - A good week, a blessed week. God is definately good, and I can only wait to see what this next week brings. Night All.
