98% Humidity + Fog = Wheeee!

So tonight there is just plain a ton of fog, and it’s granted 1am now, but just kind of cool, the humidity bit, not so much, but I do enjoy the fog, seems very calm to me.

I am up, I probably should be sleeping, but this weekend (second weekend in a row) the upstairs neighbors had a party of “epic” proportions - till about 2:45am - crazy sauce for sure. Slept in till about noon to catch-up then had lunch with Scott @ BK - twas tasty.

Tonight though I did get windshield wiper fluid from Target, and a carwash from the gas station (My car is clean!) I still need to see about getting my windshield fixed, has a massive crack, and would really like to have it fixed up before the new year - but just another random thought in my head.

Anywhoo - going to try and crash out here shortly, realized I was running low on clean clothes, so I did a quick load, which finished about midnight, so I guess now that its done, and I am starting to wind down, it’s time to sleep. So goodnight - thanks for reading my extremely out-there / random post. Have a good Monday.

Quick Post, then sleep.

A long night last night, that ended shortly after I got to sleep for about 30m or so, then off to work to a meeting - it went fair, a lot of things I already knew, a few things we worked out - who knows maybe one day they will listen to me - but as of 02/09 I will have been there 1 year… so we’ll see how that goes.

But thanks for the prayers - the meeting wasn’t horrible - granted part of me wanted to sleep like there was no tomorrow, but I got thru it with a to-do of things to do, but already crossed off about 3-4 of them already, not like many of them were hard - just a lot of “DO THIS NOW” items have come up over the weeks, plus personal life has had demands which I am more than happy to prioritze over work as my friends and family are far more important than a job that doesn’t respect me. lol.

Anywhoo - thanks for your continued prayers, hope this week will go smoothly, only 2 days left, and then it’s turkey day & day after turkey day ;) Night folks.

The Week Ahead…

So the week starts off with hopefully a “quick” meeting @ 9, and goes into the rest of the day getting many things I had hoped to finish nice and wrapped up - so hopefully, prayerfully - it will go quickly.

This week should be a quick and busy one (or so is my hope) - my hope is to work some on various personal projects aside from work, job, and company ;) but time will tell how that plays out, but as always many things playing out in my head and a lot on my mind, but also my health still isn’t 100% even tonight feeling queezy still as well as even after many hours of rest this weekend, feeling exhausted - so hopefully some rest will come.

Anywhoo - just my quick note of an update / prayer request, while I am not a fan of my day-job lately, it is still a job, and one I plan to see thru, but if that is supposed to change, then so be it, but we’ll see how it goes - for now I am going to try to crash out here and get some rest, been relaxing most of the evening trying to get my mind thinking on other things - so far no luck … but I did watch some movies, try the new nachos at tacobell, and now it’s time for a nap I think. Night!

A much needed Night.

So tonight could of gone much much worse. The biggest gripe was the last dryer on the row doesn’t work in the laundry facility (calling the manager in the AM to let them know) - but it held me up a little for my evening with the boys, but in the end it’s currently drying the remainder of the way on the shower curtain rod :)

I made it to dinner @ 9:15ish to see a group of friends I have not seen in 1 place for quite some time - and it was good to see them all, and get to share a meal, good conversation etc. - there was a slight difference in opinion on Rocky Balboa - but no one died (yet - as I agree it was good) lol - but we laughed, had fun, had the Denny’s pretty much to ourselves as usual when we have a later evening group in the work week - but we chatted, Scott graciously picked up the tab, and we headed out our seperate ways, minus Me, Jake and Jeff - we chatted a bit longer, and I just barely pulled into the house now.

A much needed night, even got slipped a thank you card from Scott (thank you good sir, always glad to help!) for my help this week which was an honor to provide - and getting to see Dan, Jeff and Jake - a good evening of company which I think was needed.

This week has begun to slow down for me, a few days there I thought it was going to be Friday instantly and an entire weeks worth of work was going to be done, and I’d not gotten anything done - but it has begun to mellow, got a massive pile of things done at work that were waiting for me from Tuesday, and now tomorrow Cory should be here (call me for directions to my place! I’ll be settled @ work by 9AM(PST)) - but hoping this weekend should be mellow and get to spend some more time with Friends/Family.

Anywho…. time is up, off to put away laundry that did dry, clean up some as not sure what time Cory is gonna be in, and see if guys want to join up here and have pizza and hang with Cory - might need to stock up on beverages… but I think I can handle that. Have a Great Thursday folks, and thanks for your prayers!

What a day….

So much going on these past few weeks, dad’s surgery, sister getting held up, work, business, etc. and today getting the sad news of Scott’s mom passing - I know everyone else is a buzz on the election, but honestly - it’s the least of my concerns/worries at the moment, folks seem to like Obama, hopefully after his first small mistake/blunder they will grant him grace and not the usual “IMPEACH!” they seem to carry with every other official we have elected in the last few years, I’d really like to see him do well, but the US has become very snap-judgement-ful (my new word) about elected officials.

Tonight did end up wrapping up good, all things considered, came home exhausted ate some pizza, and laid down to take a quick “nap” however the 45m nap I setup, had me rolling over and adding another 30m to it ;) gave me enough energy to really get onto the other projects I had hoped to do last night, but the internet was and still is having issues, download speeds are AWESOME 30Mbps at times, but the upload is a sad sad sad 3kbps (Sad Sad Sad) so it took me about an hour what I’d hope would be 5 minutes.

Anywhoo - keep the McNutt’s in your prayers, txt’d scott near the end of work, and he said they were “hanging in there” I can’t even imagine - but were here if ya need us buddy - meals, help with arragements, print work for the service, whatever it is (heck I’ll even shine your shoes if needs be) - just let us know - and to the rest of you thanks for your prayers. Night.

First 12 Hours with G1 (Android)

My brain is a bit all over tonight so bear with me - might be some random bits of non-android things later, but I must say for the first 12 hours, the phone has impressed me, and I think I can safely say the following:

  • It is not the iPhone.
  • It is not a “Hype” phone like the iPhone.
  • It is not the most pretty device on the block.
  • It is not perfect.
  • It is not complete.

I read a lot of reviews from folks before taking the plunge for the G1, the biggest gripes were coming from folks who are Apple fanboys (I type this of course on my iMac ;)) I understand the strange love for Apple, but I also like a touch of freedom, Apple thus far never has really offered that - it took a team of folks to unlock the iPhone, to unleash it from Apple’s control to allow developers to get their apps in without some insane authorization process - the community made the iPhone for me, not Apple. (Major Kudos Dev Team, Cydia, etc.)

The “Hype” as it were around G1 was more I think one of a cry of Freedom, a phone that had cool functionality like that of the iPhone, but something so open, it could be expanded by anyone, anywhere, anytime into something much much more - by no means am I saying Apple should open source it’s prized iPhone OS to the world - but with Apple, there are always going to be that group of people that as some lovely Windows/Linux users have put it “… if Apple %($@ in a box, they would buy it.” And it’s true, that type of die-hard loyalty is hard to come by, but Apple has earned it from a great many.

The G1 should NOT be compared to the iPhone if your thinking of buying one, it’s a different breed - and hopefully in time things will evolve into something amazing, be it an entirely new off-shoot from the G1, or the expansion of the Android Marketplace to thousands of apps, but also the creation of platform with fewer borders, I am not saying Google’s “offical” Android OS will always be King of the Merry Go Round, but with it open source more insanely amazing phones could be born.

First things first, the whole “iPhone Killer” thing needs to stop, and folks need to stop reading what a 12 yr old fan boy wrote on his mom’s powerbook and go into a T-Mobile store and check out the phone, you may try it and say “Not for me” but make the call for yourself, NOT based upon the crap being spun. Try the apps, see if they have it on wifi, browse your favorite site, ask questions, get informed, like voting don’t just go into the booth and see whats there - ask before going in about things your concerned about.

12 hours in, very happy with my purchase, looking forward to another 12, going to see if the blue-dot can follow me all the way to work again ;) Night all.

Fresh Week, Step 1 - Breathe.

A new week, lots still to be done, but just barely feel like I am coming over a big chunk of stress, fatigue, etc. so much to do, but due to the mix of work, work, and lack of personal time :) things get crazy, so I am going to possibly figure out a new schedule with the day job, not sure 100% about that, but I am definately praying about it as I just don’t feel right working on customer projects @ the office - not that they “claim” to mind, but there is also that looming “EVERYTHING HERE IS TOP PRIORITY” even “the batteries died in my mouse.. oh wait, I have some here in my desk.”

The FH site has been slow going, I had hoped to have it up the 13th, but that has come and gone pretty quickly, thus really hampering the Crazy October Specials, but I think I may finally let that tradition go, 2 years and I haven’t really had a solid promo for it, but I think I may do the “Winter” specials as a trade off, not to mention the new packages setup for the hosting that all users will get a free upgrade to - so win-win for everyone!

I am having to re-learn a lot of things when it comes to the joy of relaxing, with FH/TN I had really found a balance of things, and worked to get some rest under my belt, to take a day and relax, this past Friday it took falling asleep in a massage chair to finally loosen me up some - one perk of work, thankfully Friday was a VERY slow day at the office, and it let me unwind a bit going into the weekend - but I am slowly finding things again, new printer I got for my home office does photo printing, so I am watching for deals on ink/paper again for the “Epson Artisan 800″ so I can get out with the new camera lens (35mm picked up 2-3 months ago) and really get some fun shots - and then print them for the office @ work.

Other things for relaxation was Rock Band 2 for 360, my former friend (Aka. Mr. Peer Pressure) egged me on (thanks Scott!) and I picked up the last copy for 360 tonight @ Target, thus I talked Scott to coming over for a bit and rockin out with me to some nerd songs like the “Still Alive” from Portal, and Skullcrusher Mountain by Jonathan Coulton - A lovely song ;) then after he left I worked on my usual Band name “Potato” and got me a Van, so pretty sweet, but I do plan to lug the 360, drums, guitar, and mic over to the Poon place tonight (just became Monday a bit ago) and enjoy some fun with the gang - should be fun!

Do keep me in your prayers, I am trying to get a lot of things sorted - personal, faith, business, work, etc. just a lot on my plate lately and I don’t think I am giving a lot of quality time to any one, and I am really considering the possiblity of start of the year going a different route with the day job or finding some crazy way to hire someone to work FH/TN more agressively.

Anywhoo - nearly 12:30am - I need to eat something, and then get to bed, a full day tomorrow - but I have my new pencil, my moleskine, and I am going to get things sorted the old fashioned way on Paper then merge it up to various GTD like my favorite RTM - so hopefully I can line things up this next week and really get a priority of tasks, and narrow it all down into a lovely week of get’n it done! :) So have a lovely week, and I hope to post more soon!
