The Guts

A little background on what’s running the blog, with the recent updates I did (01-09-08) I wanted to give a rundown of the various tweaks I put into place.

  • The Blog Software = Wordpress (2.5.x)
  • Plugins/Widgets
    • Akismet
    • FlickrRSS (link) - My Version is Slightly Hacked - Added LightBox2 tweaks.
    • Run-for-Cover (link) - My Version has some formating hacks
    • WP-Lightbox 2 (link)
  • Theme = Cubismo (link)
  • Background Texture (link)
  • Posting to Blog - Textmate (link)

Latest mods were done thanks to the brilliant theme Cubismo, I just did some minor tweaks here and there to make it just a touch mind, but Igor did a teriffic job creating it!

Most posts are done via Textmate, mainly because it’s simple, I own Ecto but at the same time I just want something clean to use, and I do most of my PHP so it’s a familar interface.

Some minor adjustments with the move to 2.5.x builds, had to update tweaks for updated plugins, and I plan to do some more adjustmenst along the road, but for now, simple, easy.
